All in all, this was a great performance. M's professionalism reached a towering new height. Besides, she looked absolutely smoking hot and appeared quite triumphant at the end.

Smoking hot video with all the right shades of passion and anger. I love it... especially the Nietzsche quote at the end!

The first half of Ray Of Light is extraordinary, absolutely one of M's finest moments. But the second half descends a little into over polite 'mah-ture' territory, which I don't think quite suits her rebel heart rebelliousness (and I agree with BlankFormatted; why do pop stars always have to inflict insipid songs about their newborn kids onto their public?) That said, To Have And Not To Hold is unquestionably one of my favourite tunes of hers.

Beautiful scars?? First gyms, then skin products, now elevator music.. Glad shes branching out as an artiste. (Im taking this with humour but damn.. Whatever happened to her good taste on this one?)

Speaking for myself, I'm going to stick with the superior 'standard' edition. I'm quite amazed how transformed these songs now are (someone previously joked that Holy Water might end up being the best track and, while not exactly the case, it's certainly become a much more appealing beast). Inside Out, which I always enjoyed in demo form, is rather epic and a fast favourite, while HeartBreakCity may be one of her best ever tracks and Wash All Over Me is as grand an album closer as one could wish for. After a bit of distance dulls down the slight over-familiarity of the opening six tracks (which I think are all wonderful) this will no doubt prove to be M's best album in some time.

First impressions... in the main, the album is fantastic. It's great to hear the beefed up production and arrangements, which vastly improve a lot of songs that were less than promising in demo form. Iconic is actually really captivating, while HeartBreakCity is simply astounding (it was great in demo form and even better now, although I admit to kind of missing the 'I still feel shitty' ending) and Wash All Over Me takes its cue from the breathtaking piano demo, which I was hoping it would. Some criticisms... the overbearing presence of NAS on Veni Vidi Vici more or less kills the track for me. I really don't want to hear about him at all when the track should be M's alone. I definitely prefer the demo. Autotune Baby seems like a cool song but is rendered almost unlistenable by that horrible baby sample. That noise really gives me the creeps and has no right being on a pop record. I'm also not feeling the reworking of Beautiful Scars and I've always thought Graffiti Heart was pedestrian. This might not be a popular opinion but I would almost make a case for the 14 track standard version as being the definitive statement. There are one or two nice additions after that (I quite like Best Night, Queen is good and Addicted has always been cool) but I think the Super Deluxe version is overstuffed. The first 14 tracks, however, supplies you with almost an hour of pure pop bliss.

I wouldn't say she comes across as rude at all (especially when he tries to make her drink and she cutely retorts 'No, I make the rules to this game'). The old charm is still there for sure.Only thing that I'd say is that it's something of a missed opportunity, that guy should be legless after all those dull questions he asks her.
