I've read there is a little woman in the rotating staircases vocalizing all of the spoken word and singing by following Madonna's mouth for vocal cues.

Ha, to be honest I’ve never heard any evidence of Vogue having live vocals on RIT, at least not on the Manchester bootleg.
Personally I think it’s wrong using a prerecorded lead, but I won’t go into that, it’s whatever you value in live music I suppose... I much prefer the S&S performance of the song!

Ok I had a problem with the piano during future too. Why? Why use it as a prop? Using the guitar during burning up on rebel heart worked cause she comes down into the audience and does montes pittmans solo or whatever but sitting and pretending to play the piano is weak and that late in the show it is simply boring. My opinion of course lol

Imagine going to see a West End show but they were running late, so they just cut the opening number to save time. Ha ha!

I did enjoy the remainder of the show, but it’s such a shame how she’s becoming too rude and too uncaring for her own audience and fans, and then she blames her lack of great chart performance on ageism. The thing is ageism is real but her attitude and material aren’t helping either

Aye-aye-aye-aye...
This tour has been one anxiety after another.
I hope I get to see a full show next week, but my expectations are very low at this point. As a long-term fan, I feel very sad to say that. I must concede Madonna has become a sometimes excellent, but often unreliable performer. I'm sure it might be an incredible show, a career-best perhaps - if your date isn't cancelled, starting late, or heavily edited...
I don't want her to cancel, I have absolute sympathy for her injury and I understand why she wants to preserve the integrity of the show, but... the tickets were so expensive, and I mean SO expensive! Regardless of all the problems, it really should be the best show of her career at those prices.
Does anyone remember a time, long ago, when a Madonna concert was just a joyful experience?
I imagine the board of Directors at Live Nation watching back footage of the tour, similar to that scene in Evita:
Let's here it for the Rainbow Madame X Tour
It's been an incredible success
We weren't quite sure, we had a few doubts
Would Evita Madonna win through?
And the answer is:
Yes
And no
And yes
And no
And yes
And no...
We all know what happened to Eva Peron after that!

I’ll take a truncated show rather than a cancellation. I’m relieved that dire Crave remix has been flushed down Madame X’s bog.

She didn’t make a different show. She cut out 7 songs from the original set list in NYC; God Control, Dark Baller, Human Nature, Papa Don’t Preach snippet, Express Yourself accapella, Sodade and Crave.
People paid for a full show and got a partial show.

I love her with all my heart but this has been a problem on many previous shows. Not just the Madame X Tour.
Is it really so hard just to be on stage on time? It is unprofessional and I'm sick of fans acting as if it's cool and she's a rebel. No it's not cool and it's unprofessional. People have work in the morning or other plans and it's just not fair.
I love her, she's my icon. I just wish she could be on time and not have to cut things. The same happened with the Rebel Heart tour in Manchester.
It doesn't put me off seeing the Madame X show but I can see why people get annoyed and don't bother going.
If she was late on due to the injury then I think she really needs to take care and forget putting on a show for us and rest!

She’s got to be joking.
so much for not compromising the artistic integrity of the show...
She has ‘integrity’ when it suits her, clearly.

I was so happy about the buzz from last night and now this... worst case scenario. Perhaps a cancellation is better? I would feel pissed and shortchanged if she did this and I would have spent Vogue at least in a state of shock.
I hope she doesn’t realise how easy it is to do this and continue this way. It is certainly ‘comprimising’ her art.

So she did come on around 8.30 then? I’m gagged.

It wouldn't have been her own choice, it would have been the in house musical director.
Late last year I attended a filming of a British singers UK weekly variety show that airs its new series this year. The singers voice is virtually powerhouse perfect all of the time, Shirley Bassey meets Donna Summer style singer, and both hers and every guests performance had to be repeated up to four times to get every angle and note perfect, and then the audience had to watch it played back on the screen and dance like crazy.
It was wonderful
As for Borderline, three times and she still didn't get that YEAAAAAAAHHHHHH very pleasant on the ears. I love that performance though!

Fun little tidbit:
A guy I work with was at this show and he said M did this performance THREE times! He said it was a little bizarre because they were all pretty much the same. And the audience hype man was trying to get them to be into it for all the performances. Jimmy Fallon left after the first one. And when she finished the third one she took her ear piece out and just walked off. ? No love for the crowd who just watched her sing Borderline REALLY SLOW three times in a row.

Interesting statement from Evita's Tim Rice:
Maybe he's got a ticket too and is afraid she cancels!
