Hi all
Yesterday Fighter and I transferred the forum over to the new server. I want to give a HUGE thank you to @Fighterfor guiding me every step of the way. If it wasn't for them, there'd be no forum as I really was 'like a virgin' - I think I'm now still a 'baby' Madonna with this, but certainly know a lot more than I did yesterday!
Nothing will change, all the same rules, expectations, community standards will remain the same. All moderators will stay the same and I hope @Fighteralso stays as a member/admin!
I also want to thank each and everyone one of you for keeping this place alive, dynamic, respectful and a great place to come together to share anything really!

I think ppl have to face reality, the old Madonna aint coming back. Ever. We have to accept it, just like we all have to accept the fact that each and every one of us aren't the same people we were even 10 years ago. Except me. I'm still broke af. SO, hallelu, I'm here for the M we've still got around living and breathing and making whatever kind of art she's still able to.  Cringe or not bring on the tits bitch

If Zack Snyder got his cut of Justice League, wouldn't it be awesome if William Orbit got to make his version of MDNA? 

It came out of nowhere. That's all I remember. I remember watching the MTV VMA's that year and they dropped a tiny bit of a forthcoming video (or maybe it was during a MTV news segment) and it just looked incredibly dark and a bit scary. I was 13. But she'd done Justify My Love and Truth Or Dare was very edgy, so I didn't know what road she was going down, but I was excited.
At the same time, A League Of Their Own and Playground were MASSIVE and so to have such a clean-cut movie/song and then pivot to Erotica, seemed insane. 
I got SEX for Christmas that year. I remember my parents talking about it with me and they weren't sure that I should be able to keep it after they saw what was inside, but I fought hard and kept it.
A few months later (late Winter '93) I remember a Coles book store in the mall (I'm in Toronto, Canada) had stacks of French copies that no one wanted. Eww .. white English people don't want FRENCH? lol .. and they slashed the price and so I bought 3-4 copies for $29.99 and then kept them for years and then sold them for so much .. early flipping days, I guess.
My copy is in pristine condition. I almost never ever touch it for fear that the metal spine will break or get fucked up as so many of them did. I still have the mylar bags.
I think it was important for her to do it then. I have no regrets about it. Boring? Someone said they thought parts of it were boring. Sure. Depends maybe on who you were at the time and what you expected. I didn't know anything about those dark underworlds of gay culture back then, so it was exciting and educational and showed me options. And then when I found myself in my first scary hallway at a bathhouse/sex club/leather bar, I wasn't without expectation. I appreciate the education she provided a young gay kid .. when no one else would dare speak of such things or show such things. It's like she held my hand and said, "this is what you'll probably want to explore and so this is what it looks like. If you're not afraid then you're not doing it right." 
And then the world had a snit about the book and Madonna and feminism and they called her McDonna and openly slut shamed her for years and then she put out a ballad album and did Evita and moved on. You could blink and then it was 98 and she was sitting on a couch talking with Oprah about baby formula, so things were okay.
I would say that until Erotica/Sex/Body Of Evidence, being a Madonna fan was easy. After the trilogy of those releases, it became increasingly more difficult. You were required to defend your love for her. It was suddenly cool to NOT like Madonna. And for a 12-13-14 year old, that could be hard because it's a time in your life when you seek acceptance and as little gay boys we already felt so excluded. So in some ways, SEX made our lives both more interesting and harder - but I think the end result is that we came through it like she did and it's why we feel such a strong bond and expect so much from her. 
And maybe why so many of us regard EROTICA as her best work. 
When Ray Of Light came out, it was like True Blue days, the world was bowing at her feet for her brilliance and the music and imagery and how mature she'd become and a mother .. and I was like, "but you fuckers ... burned her at the stake! and now you're all goo-goo-ga-ga for her??!" 
And same with MUSIC .. and then American Life, and it was like, "here we go again!"

I woke up two hours early, and obviously: she is late.

So last night was an amazing, amazing experience. After seeing M arrive (video too large to post right now) ...back to the hotel down the round for a quick change. Back at the venue, there was a great atmosphere. A few guys were dressed as MDNA-era popes and they ended up sitting in Row A next to the steps. Phone lock up went smoothly and I was taken aback by how quiet the merch desk was - until when I was at the bar I noticed that there was a very orderly, grown up and very quiet que snaking around the room ? That tour book could wait til later!
The room was filling up nicely at around 7.40. I could not believe my seats. Stalls Row D 23-24. I had seen pictures of the venue and seats online but they distort the reality. I was soooo close. I was sat at the foot of the steps in centre aisle (but one) on right hand side. The online plan showed that there were two seats between me and aisle... did MX show remove a column all the way back or just the front? A lovely lady from Nottingham was sat on the aisle seat. She’d been to BAT London and several of the other tours, she really didn’t like all the guns in MDNA and didn’t bother with RHt as it was a weeknight with travel. She said she doesn’t really like MX album. I asked her if she had seen the set list ? She had and was reeeally looking forward to LAP. Chatty security guard came over for a chat and I genuinely thought one of us was about to be crowned beer bitch ? No chance - just a friendly chat with added instruction of how great our seats are and we must keep space in front and aisle free. He said on one night M didn’t go down our aisle as someone was blocking it with a bag (not true I thought...?) No beer bitch seat in sight on my side (the usual side?) Maybe it had been canned permanently, I thought. Nope - and this was the bane of my night lol. 
The warm up band was nice and got the crowd going. I just kept thinking how it’s a shame that so many people seem to want LAV, Bonita etc, but have no chance. M must hear how lively the crowd gets from back stage with these songs and think “enjoy it whilst you can, bitches’ ? I was anxious that we were about to get the censored show, but I had started to accept that fate and expect the worst... then her voice... that voice... lights down. So exciting. TBC... ?

I would like to know when it was cheap to be a madonna fan?  When she had no items that cost fortunes?  When did people with money not benefit buying rare items and the best seats at shows? Always was that way! 

And I don't think selling the photo is related to making money. It's the character she's using. The mocking, restless and talkative way that puts and knows the value it has. When she chose to do a show at a theater, she also chose to be able to literally shake a fan's hand and make a deal. It more about that fantasy of Madame X. 

I, in particular, can't afford to pay $ 1,000 for a polaroid selfie. But if I had, I would pay. And I know you all too.
