off topic but does anyone know what happened to the user @simonsays because I haven't seen him commenting for days. I liked reading his comments because he tried to expose some users for criticizing Madonna too much or telling their truths to others, but always with respect and politeness. was he banned? did I miss something? Her presence will be missed because sometimes I felt like I was in a Lady Gaga forum because the criticism and ridicule towards Madonna was too exaggerated by some users. I hope he comes back because I liked to see how he defended Madonna with a passion worthy of a fanatic with capital letters.

it blows my mind how little everyone involved cares about her legacy and every milestone reached apart from some cute social media posts (before social media we got less than that).
i don’t know if they are waiting for the biopic to materialize or are thinking people are still recovering financially from the pandemic (which is true) as well as factoring in the current economic situation across the globe, therefore holding out, but MAN—show a little effort.
they don’t care about the 5 year mark nor about the 10 years one when they all got the money to provide us with at least SOMETHING to celebrate.

I find it silly that some would excuse her lateness and just accept it as is.
I know she’s notorious for late starts, but it’s not a great thing to do. And it’s played a big part in her declining tour reputation. The entire audience that attends her shows arnt people that post on Madonna message boards. Not everyone that goes to concerts wants to attend one where the start of the show is around 1130pm or later, no matter who the artist is.

That's exactly what it was. She mentions it in recent interviews/podcasts. She wanted to raise her kid. She had just done DWT AFTER she almost lost her foot and had to have it reattached in a golf cart accident. She praises M for being there for her at that time and getting her the best care. She talks about the squats during "Music" every night almost killed her. AND she was not feeling the new Kabbalah/Guy crew around M. Having to go through middlemen to talk to her friend. It's a shame the fans spread those shitty rumours. Niki has always been too real for a big part of this fandom. Love her.

I’m so pissed that had the audacity to say “More to come soon”. Why does everything seem so last minute. They can only announce stuff when they have everything ready to go. How is everything not already planned and has release dates. Give us a schedule of what’s to come why is EVERYTHING “expect surprises soon… more to come… soon” Do they really have nothing prepared more than a month out besides FEL

She wasn't just a few minutes late. A few hours is more like it. Dozens of shows were cancelled, some which minutes before doors were supposed to open. People were wildly upset for being stood up or left waiting for hours in the freezing cold. Losing money on all sorts of non-refundable expenses. The media was all over it and that didn't help to rectify her diva reputation. Nobody talked about the reason behind all those cancellations. Yes, news about the injury spread, but I haven't seen a single article that bothered to address the true physical and emotional hell she was going through at the time. I was at that Paris show when she broke down in tears on stage and it was heartbreaking. We as fans know about this and even though it may have caused us inconvenience, the general public certainly hasn't picked up on those nuances and continues to harbour the sentiments they obviously do. Would you as a casual listener consider forking out 300 quid to see an artist that is known to be late, cranky and prone to last minute cancellations, on a weekday not knowing if public transport will still be running to take you home? That is why I doubt she'll sell out stadiums easily. She has a reputation for good and bad reasons and I don't think that's ever going to change.
One more thing: I never said Madonna wouldn't put together a superb piece of live theatre or that the quality of her shows is to be doubted. I didn't criticise what she's been up to artistically. All I did was point out that non-fans would be rather hesitant to buy a ticket based on her reputation. Most of us are probably going to be there and having a good time, but I'm afraid there aren't enough of us for her to sell out an entire tour. This is how I see it and, yes, maybe we do indeed live in different realities.
