MarXus got a reaction from VogueMusic in No hating but...what happened to Madonna after 2007?
Yeah, I see this thread getting ugly. All I am going to say is; even if there was something amiss with her these days, we've had a good run of entertainment and music from her. 4 decades and not many entertainers can claim that.
I don't necessarily agree things have gone down hill for her in the past years. I also don't think her management is really the problem. After all, she's totally in charge. I know some hate Guy O., but he's been wanting to do more with her past work (like most fans want), but Madonna is preventing that from happening. She's always had a keen sense in business as Guy O. Of course, nothing is perfect. Nothing is always guaranteed. Though, she's hardly living in the poor house. She's still touring and recording music that she wants to record despite what some fans think. In the end, it's her ship. It's bound to hit some icebergs. No one can bat a 1000 all the time. I think some fans get stuck in an era or two and enjoy and want her to keep producing that same sort of magic. Sorry, that's not Madonna. She evolves and I think some fans have a hard time doing the same. All I know is that I still enjoy her very much. That's what I try to concentrate on. I don't believe worrying about Madonna's career at this point is something we should concern ourselves with especially when there are far more important things to worry about. I prefer to enjoy what she gives us, than pick apart what isn't perfect. After all, I've enjoy so much from her, more than not.
What's next? I'm sure something fantastic and enjoyable like all her past work. I'm sure she's going to take some time to get her health back on track, and then probably look into doing a film. Then an album again.

MarXus got a reaction from Tex20 in The Brilliance of 'Rescue Me'
The intent was there, but it just didn't work out. I'm sure she wasn't sitting around finding a way to torture her fans.
And to be honest, the song is hardly a song people even remember by Madonna. Yes, that may be due to the fact she never released a video or performed it on tour, but it's a song that demands a huge vocal. Trying to sing that night after night, would be horrid. Even if she changed it up to fit her range, etc., fans would be disappointed with.
Singles are to promote a bigger work. The Immaculate Collection already was doing quite well that spending money on a video at that would be wasteful. I'd like to think that the money was saved for her to put in her next projects/album such as SEX and EROTICA. Then again, she's allowed to profit from what she does without always pouring the money back into something. It's not like she didn't give us a lot up to that point.

MarXus got a reaction from Confessions Lightside in Bedtime Stories 25th Anniversary (Album Facts)
This is incorrect. She only spoke about touring, early on, but as early as December 1994, she was already focused on getting the Evita role. No tour was in production yet.

It's not true. She mentioned she was going to tour, but it never materialized. The album came out in October. By December, Take A Bow was released and that's when she sent the video and her letter to Alan Parker to play Evita. Soon after she was hired for the role. Initially she was planning to tour in Spring or Fall of 1995. Her publicist suggested a smaller tour, but Madonna and her manager scrapped all plans to tour.

Shep Pettibone was shelved for this project because he did not bring anything new to the table. If I recall, she even issued a public apology or thanks for whisking him aside.

I hope this works. Here's the amateur footage from a fan who filmed "I Rise" on 2/5/20 when the the theater supposedly cut her power and lights went up.

MarXus got a reaction from DJ N A in Bedtime stories album cover
Yeah, I specifically recall back in the day, that there was a Mtv News Report where they addressed the first pressings were a mistake and Madonna intended for herself to appear upside down on the cover, which in reality she wasn't. It's just how she was shot on the bed.
I bought the album when it was first release, and I have it where she appears right side up. It was soon after that I recall hearing it wasn't what she intended.

MarXus got a reaction from TOpher in Reinvention Tour 20th Anniversary Project
So what? She used one of his works for an official cover for BIM, and one for a promo for Rebel Heart DVD, yet some make it sound like she's got him on speed dial to do any artwork needed. Not that I'm bothered by his work at all, but it's weird how some take small incidences in her career and make it out as something she does all the time. LOL!

I forgot that he was able to listen to it. So envious! One day, people! One Day!

I don't think it got as far as that. Does Geffen even have the rights to it? I know the song was written with intention for the film, but do we know if it even got as far as it being licensed to the film or Geffen?
Edit: Add to sort of answer my own question:
I just looked the song up and the song is registered in the Library of Congress through Warner Bros. There is no certainty that the song was actually used in the film if even filmed, but you would think that if it ended up being cut out, it would have eventually surfaced by now.

MarXus got a reaction from Beautiful Madonna in Madame X Tour DVD
So this supposed BLU-Ray/DVD cover was posted moments ago at a facebook group without any info other than the setlist: (EDIT to add: Poster at FB has mentioned it's "fanmade". I was sure it was!)
MADONNA "THE MADAME X TOUR": Live From Lisbon, Portugal (BLU RAY / DVD):
01. God Control
02. Dark Ballet
03. Human Nature
04. Vogue
05. I Don't Search I Find
06. American Life
07. Coffins (interlude)
08. Batuka
09. Killers Who Are Partying
10. Crazy
11. Welcome To My Fado Club
12. Sodade
13. Medellín
14. Extreme Occident
15. Rescue Me (interlude)
16. Frozen
17. Come Alive
18. Future
19. Crave
20. Like A Prayer
21. I Rise
I'm sure it's not real (*and it isn't!), but thought I'd post it as you never know. Also, I do believe it will go to some streaming service before it is released on a DVD/BLU-Ray format.
And that nonsense at MTRIBE where Madonna was unhappy with the Lisbon footage is ridiculous and untrue. Several nights were filmed. It's been reported along with the company filming it. I think it's still too soon for any info. Madonna probably hasn't even seen the concert footage yet. At earliest, we may get this next September. I'm hoping sooner, at least the streaming version of it.

Went to the grocery store and heard "Sidewalk Talk". I was shocked.

That would be the most ideal for most fans! Though, I feel like with all the instagram post, we got a lot of behind the scenes.

I wouldn't change anything, other than get a better hair stylist once she lost the pony tail. I loved the curls, but there were times, it was just a mess.

MarXus got a reaction from Ivyslash in Is the Madame X tour her worst tour?
Again, most of those fans who aren't loving it, are those who haven't even seen it. LOL!! They are basing their opinion off the logistics of the tour, which obviously didn't sway the people who went to the show. Fans or not, most are saying that they had a wonderful time and it was a great show. The critics in the media also have been pretty positive about the tour. Honestly, I can't see how anyone can say it's the "worst" when they haven't seen it?

MarXus got a reaction from WopaelWopael in Madame X VIP Book on sale for...$225.00
Yeah, when I first saw that it was available, I thought that it may be around that price. When I saw the actual amount, I was like "Fuck that!". Still, it's supposed to be a limited edition item, so I can see why they are trying to sell it for a hefty price.

She sounded so beautiful singing this in Spanish. This and Veras are just so beautiful. Did I say this was beautiful? LOL!

MarXus got a reaction from Orko in Keeping it Together for 30 years!
Oh I see. I thought you meant Madonna. But still, I wasn't aware that Queen Latifah did this. So yeah, if she was doing remixes for someone like David Bowie, there certainly is a chance she could have done with Madonna. If it exists, I'd love to hear it. I wasn't a fan of her music back then, but she does have a good voice.

My thoughts as well. And many times, I rather not hear the demo just for the fact it's not what Madonna intended us to hear. That said, I'm there as soon as it leaks! HA!!
