Oh this makes total sense, actually. It sounds like her but not really her at the same time, so this explains why. Thank you!

That's why I try hard to not to have "expectations". Then again, while every tour has been different and some have definitely better than others, I still think they all have been pretty damn perfect.  I totally get what she's done here.  Of course, there is always room for improvement, but this tour is pretty tight.  Nothing really seems out of place for me.  Everything seems to flow like it should.  Some say "Mother and Father" can go, but even that makes sense to what she's trying to convey with her journey here.  Her mother plays a huge role in who she has become.  It's possible she could have chosen another song about her mother, but I suspect she wanted to include her dad as well int this which again he plays a role in how she's become an entertainer and her work ethic.  Besides, she sounds really good singing it this time around.
But I think we always predicted there are always going to be those who will be disappointed and want something different.  That's just life.  Everyone is entitled to their say, and I welcome that.  But at the same time, we have the right to challenge those views and have a civil discourse.

What I find frustrating is that all people are doing are moaning they are not happy about the songs in the show, people need to stop being entitled and just enjoy the tour for what it is.
Just remember it was only a few months ago where we thought we would never see her live again, I'm sure you would all love it if she dropped Nothing really matters, Bedtime Story, Bad Girl and Rain so you can hear Sorry, Express yourself, material girl, frozen and Music because it's not like we've not heard them live before.

Where's the petition for a 10min video interlude of Candy Shop to finish the show before Bitch I'm the Finale?

Yeah, I agree TAB wouldn't fit with the story she's telling here.  Not that I would love to hear her sing TAB, but this tour is about her legacy and what she accomplished. She's telling that story through most of her song choices.  TAB would be more like a final goodbye and she's not ready to say her "farewell" just yet with her career.

I don't know about "Take A Bow", really... it's just too slow and not in a moody way like "Bad Girl" is, for example or in a good romantic vibe way like "Rain". Plus vocally it's more demanding? I don't think it would work that well. Maybe she's saving it for the US leg, anyway? In the end it was only a super smash hit there, not in Europe.
I liked "Hung Up" on its current place cause it lifts up things a little bit after all the "Erotica" and "Justify My Love" slowing down! It balances that whole act. That was a big issue for me on the "Madame X Tour" and it's not happening on this tour, thank God. I found the pace almost perfect.

BIM was literally covered by a KPOP band and the song was co-produced by SOPHIE when she was barely known.
I know a lot of you hate that song and you have every right to but as a younger fan I can assure you that it’s actually one of her more popular songs among the younger generation.
In addition to that, it’s also one pf the very few times Madonna was actually ahead of everyone in terms of genre/production. PCMusic became popular AFTER Madonna decided to bring that sound to the mainstream scene. Charli XCX among a few others are doing that sound NOW.

    hey there!
so here's my little review. i went spontaneously to the second london show on sunday. i LOVED IT and would give it 4/5 stars. she is still on TOP OF HER ARTISTY and this alone is to bow down for all of us!
the fist two acts are more or less PERFECTION and the story line works. she takes us on the 'madonna story' train. the opening with nrm was breathtaking, the 80s hits such a joy. open your heart plays such a beautiful tribute to the mondino video. going from holiday (careless party) to live to tell (aids pandemic) is pure madonna pop genius. she never goes just for the hits, she takes us on an emotional journey. this has been said many many times, this time i feel it most clearly. i was sooo moved by it. the erotica act, wow wow wow, i couldn’t stop saying wow and screaming 'this is beautiful' (i sat in the back, had an overview on everything). hot as fuck. the papa dont preach with the blond ambition bed - WOOOOW, another pure genius moment! the ballroom part - perfection, bob was amazing. their presence was perfection!! so good. hearing 'updown suite' - who would have thought?! LOVE
then, the concert kinda looses it a bit, there are still great moments, but it seems less tightly thought through. or at least, i couldnt deceiver it. ray of light was probably the best in that part of the concert. our show ended with rain, quite abruptly. but i was still super happy.
the lightning / staging / dancers - VERY VERY GOOD!!! really incredible
my personal thinking. Madonna is both. the genius behind it all, but also her own saboteur. i feel like she would have needed someone else to help her with the overal arch. i guess she tends to get suuuuper detail oriented , which very often pays off, but then... how can you not finish your own concept? land it somewhere. if they would have managed that - best concert ever.
    still - it's a CELEBRATION, B*TCHEEEES !!!!! ******

I hope the dvd is done at the end of the run cause by then you know the show will be perfectly done in all the senses, I just hope she keeps this vocal level and her good health! So far all the reviews were quite amazing.

I know her cataloge is huge and its almost impossible to perform all the hits / fan faves but i can't believe there's no Express Yourself in the Setlist. Also Frozen. My hope is that she will rotate.

For the most part, Yohannes and Melssen created and designed all of Madonna’s costumes themselves, though they also enlisted designers such as Donatella Versace, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Dilara Findikoglu to create special one-off looks for her, too. “We wanted to reference everything that she’s done, and make something new out of that,” says Melssen. “We created a whole new world.”

Also, on Billie Jean / Like a Virgin, I wish M was standing somewhere on a side of the stage, actually singing the song, while the tribute video is playing in the foreground. The problem to me is those pre-recorded vocals don't sound enough like Madonna, they certainly sound nothing like the Minnie mouse vocal on the original version. So since the song has been pitched down to match Billie Jean and her current singing voice, why not really sing it? I think, that would make the tribute even more powerful.

I think this is Madonna's best tour. It's the ultimate look back, but does not feel nostalgic. She looks amazing, like she's really having fun onstage. The choreography references to her previous tours are exciting to see. The portrayal of her relationship with her younger self throughout the show is really poignant, especially after Erotica, when the BAT bed shows up.
I love that the kids are onstage with her. That means the stamina that Madonna has been famous for is still there, but not necessarily personalised in her performance, but through her kids. Like when Esther is voguing, Mercy playing the piano, David the guitar, it's exciting, inspiring and cute and just beautiful to witness.
And I love that there are some hints of serious sadness, because it confronts us with our own mortality.

Now I understand why they say BIM is a terrible closer. The concept of having drag queens in her iconic career costumes is nice, but the performance is awful. It seems entirely improvised, as if she's trying it on stage for the first time. Furthermore, it's a short and really low-energy closing, almost like a transitional moment, as if she's taking a rest before another performance. She could have closed it differently, especially considering the other performances on the tour are significantly more energetic.

It has nothing epic, nothing impressive. It's just a bad moment.

Also, really begging and pleading for people to understand why Bob is there.
Drag queens are under attack. The LGBTQ+ community is under attack. It means everything to have not only one of the biggest artists in history but one of the biggest allies in history platforming a drag artist. Not only is integral to her own personal story as that is the world that creatively raised her, it's integral to her commitment to be a defender of communities that need defending.
Put aside whatever your silly little beefs with his segments are look at the bigger picture here. Now more than ever we need to see LOUD and PROUD displays of every aspect of queer culture and that includes drag. For some of you not in the US it may be hard to understand why this matters so much but this community is being well and truly targeted in a political witch hunt across the entire country.
Bob needs to stay. Period. End of story. And anyone saying he should go really needs to step out of their Madonna pop show bubble and have a look at the real world going on around them.
