IamZod reacted to Holger in Keeping it Together for 30 years!
The 7" Remix was promo-only! It was never released elsewhere. It definately had the Shep treatment, but is closer to the album version (similar to the 7" remix of "Express Yourself" and the album version).
The Single Remix was widely released. I prefer that version. The only thing I wondered is why the first bit of piano is missing from it. I added it myself, taking the piano bit from the 12" Remix.

Album version. As @IamZodsaid the remix diluted the power of the song. I love the funk the original has and flows more with the Sly and the Family Stone homage it was going for

When I first heard the remix I was so disappointed my favourite track on the album was ruined.
Loved KIT on the album. Didn’t care much for the single remix. Neither did her UK label in all likelihood who released Dear Jessie instead and dumped KIT on the b-side of Vogue.
To me the single remix made the track worse, it diluted the power of the song, and made it less memorable. What it needed was a Yazz style The Only Way Is Up, energetic remix. It would have taken the message to another level. Instead we got a gear down mix. It sounded like a lot of the faders had been muted on several instruments by mistake. Bray’s own remix was better.
A rare Shep mis-fire IMO.

IamZod got a reaction from Voguerista in Madonna as an Actress
Lost interest after Body Of Evidence and not much of a fan of musicals. Never even played the soundtrack all the way through.

Take a screenshot and read it again every time Madonna leaves 'Tour'
finally a coherent and forceful response

IamZod got a reaction from Levon in Madonna as an Actress
I remember really liking Who’s That Girl, but not seen it since it’s cinematic release. She was good in Dick Tracy too, and I did like Swept Away but it was difficult to like her, even at the end.
I’ve never seen Evita, so maybe she gave a more sympathetic performance, but I was always willing her to find a role where she could be likeable to the audience. Something a bit softer and vulnerable. I stopped paying attention after going to see Body Of Evidence because I was sick of the ‘I don’t give a F’ Madonna, being a bitch and flashing her ho ho everywhere. As it stands, I think that’s why she never clicked as an actress with the public. Wrong choice of roles probably, because I think she had the potential, like in League Of Their Own. Maybe she should have focused on character parts.

I agree. I could care less about lip syncing or singing over backing tracks etc. . It's all part of Madonna's art and I love it. How she gets it out there is irrelevant imo.

Are you always this dramatic? I "won't dare"? Come on...
And yes, I would love her to have the Girlie Show band back and yes, I was hoping that this time around we'd get more of that type of a concert music wise. But we didn't and it's alright. I just don't see how productive is this cyclical moaning about her not living up to our hopes and expectations. She'll be gone sooner than we think, time flies, and then we will wish we could have her back for just one more time, lip syncing, vocoder and all. I'm just happy she's still being creative, trying new things and being an artist - a flawed, human and complex one but alive and trying.

I don’t care if she’s got pre recorded vocals and sings live over the them, the fact is I’m seeing her next week twice and I can’t fucking wait

And about Britney, I like when she does lipsynch, because she has to do choreography.
It suits her pop style. Plus her concert songs and sound quality always sound perfect (not watered-down, live versions, like other pop artists).
I dont mind any artist lipsynching, as long as they look beautiful and do their choreography well. Dancing is an art form, lipsynched or not.

I've read there is a little woman in the rotating staircases vocalizing all of the spoken word and singing by following Madonna's mouth for vocal cues.

Sorry for those with tickets to those dates. At least it’s a bit of notice and it reads as a genuine apology.

IamZod got a reaction from Voguerista in Poll: Favourite song: Papa Don't Preach or Open Your Heart?
Ugh, no contest. Open Your Heart - BIG! Melodic! Uplifting! Classic Video!
Papa Don’t Preach - Twee! Thin Production! Overrated! Madonna Nipple In Video!
Papa served a purpose but it’s honestly nothing special. Only Madonna would have had a hit with it because her rep made it a bit sensational, much like Love Child was sensational nearly 20 years earlier for Diana and The Supremes.

I just got the KIT Japanese CD single. Of course you need that and the US one to get all the mixes.
Always thought KIT looked a bit like a fan made sleeve. Don’t think the sleeves often had the designers name on?
