I refuse to buy the Like A Prayer album until it is either released on violet vinyl or deluxe edition. 

I haven't been following this topic closely but will add my 2 cents. I have always felt that Madonna has done a very poor job of preserving and promoting her gigantic musical legacy. Her music has rarely been included in compilations over the years, it's not played much on radio or music services, she hasn't released her hugely famous early concerts on DVD or blu-ray and she hasn't released super deluxe version of her albums.  We all know there is a massive  amount of audio and video material in the vault but she has missed every significant anniversary and opportunity to release some of it. She also hasn't allowed anyone to make a Netflix style documentary about her like we have seen for so many other artists from her era. I'm guessing this is all related to her famous disregard for the past and her being a massive control freak but it really is a shame because it might almost be too late for some of this now.  I really hope she does because the clock is ticking and she really deserves to be reappraised and seriously appreciated by the mainstream while she is still alive.

This is the saddest post I'm reading in the last year or so. Passionately hoping for a retraction as soon as it's possible.
The infinte wait is going to be the most boring thing for us and it's quite probably gonna be another misstep in her career imo: instead of maximizing her actual moment of success and respect with a strong new track or music, she goes back to a two years long process on an already rejected project where she will tell her story AGAIN, after just having done that succesfully with her tour
Sorry, my opinion about her in movies always was that it's not her thing, she's not a talented actress, screenwriter or director, I never watched anything really cinematographically worth watching wich included her honsetly, with all the love I feel ... but really, it wasn't enough to think that's a great movie wich gave me something intense, wich I wanna watch again. She neither could chose the right scripts when she was at her peak in the 90s, rejecting Batman returns and THE MATRIX, to play in Body of evidence and The next best thing    

This was EVERYWHERE that Summer, at least in Europe. I miss her soundtrack singles, they filled the gaps between albums and always were a little bit different and sometimes a hint of the future.
"Beautiful Stranger" was her coming back to carefree fun, after all the "Ray Of Light" cool spiritual mama narrative. I remember all my friends at high school being surprised by her biceps in the video  She was the coolest woman on Earth then.
