Two weeks late but finally. She would be having a worldwide Top 10-Top 20 if this EP had been released two weeks ago with the movie, like it should have been.
But this should help immensely even now.
(Also kudos to them for including the proper album version of "LAP" and not the f**ked up "Celebration" one).

Just finished seeing it. 
 
If you've followed the entire marvel and fox universe, this is a wet dream movie for the die hard ones as it's basically a celebration of fox and marvel/disney finally coming together. Otherwise the movie would be a bore because of the lore.
The song was used during the movie's most epic scene. A 2 part one shot action scene of the main characters against a battalion of deadpools.

A. The 2nd part of the long epic fight against the group of deadpools. There's a key change and different remix done to the track.

I just watched movie and it is absolutely fantastic! And YES! Madonna's Like a prayer is THE CLIMAX of this movie for sure! The audience in the theater went wild!  And I love love love Madonna's Like a prayer and Hugh Jackman's six pack!  Perfect match!
This was my reaction when Like a prayer with action Scene.

The movie is a blast! As long as you like the Marvel movies (if you don’t really follow them, the jokes and storylines might go over your head)
I gotta say, I was a little bummed out when the first scene with the song plays. While it’s an awesome scene, and the song is heavily featured, it didn’t stand out amongst all the other heavily featured songs throughout the movie. It was used more or less the same way the Nysnc song, and Avril song, and Grease song, and T.I. song are used. So I didn’t really get why people were saying this would have a Running Up That Hill moment.
But when it comes back for that second scene… oh man.. goosebumps! I was like oh my goddddddd. That a cappella version?! During an emotional climax?! A whole new generation of kids will forever associate this song with this movie. Thought it was great! Along with the name drop a moment later. Can’t wait to see it again!

As a side note, Marvel fans are loving the movie. If the word of mouth stays this positive, it’s going to be a massive hit for Marvel (and more exposure for 'Like a Prayer').

Just saw it too! Thought it was a good movie and felt that the song was used in a great way!

I guess this answers the question if the song was only in the trailer, which I thought LAP worked well, since it’s not on the official soundtrack. They probably couldn’t come to an agreement on royalties. I can also see Madonna wanting people to stream Like A Prayer directly from her own albums or connected playlists so they are more likely to stream more of her.
