They're both re-edits. The original full length Nikolas & Sibley remix is 8:37 - I've posted it somewhere on this forum a few years ago

The excuse they gave is that they considered her and Cyndi Lauper to be too similar so would only include one of them, although this criteria didn't seem to apply to the male artists.
They went with Cyndi - who nearly didn't do it because her boyfriend at the time said the song wouldn't be a hit. Guess charity begins at home for Cyndi.

Doesn't matter.
I'll Remember is one of her greatest songs and greatest ballads of all time. However, William Orbit takes it to the next level with his remixes. The Orbit Remix is one of the greatest creations to humankind. He elevated a beautiful sentimental ballad into a euphoric journey of life and light.

None of the above. I'm only expressing an opinion, and I think that being a fan since 1985 entitles me to. Which are the "releases" you mention? Could you please list them? I'm leaving out digital releases, which are random and sparse anyway, with absolutely no cohesion or a specific order. There's no campaign either, or marketing plan. No album was remastered, there were no reissues or expanded editions in physical format of any of them. So, I don't think this Warner thing came to fruition so far. The word I'd use is "confusing".
