Sillynate reacted to Roland Barthes in "Back That Up" demo going viral on TikTok / official single release 2022/12/30 !
What a great way to celebrate the Rebel Heart leaks 8 years ago exactly !
But i don't understand which version is viral, the Rebel Heart demo or the Madame X bonus one ?

Here’s my Madonna introduction story (because everyone asked for it ): back in 2013, I got into Diplo’s music (I was a teenager in high school and EDM/rave music was popular amongst my age group.) Come early 2014, reports surfaced that Madonna and Diplo were working together for her then upcoming album. I decided I would listen once available. By December, 6 tracks were available; 3 of which were produced by Diplo. But the other 3 had me intrigued simply because of how dark their titles were: Devil Pray, Ghosttown & Illuminati. From that point on I was sold with this album. To this day Rebel Heart remains one of my favorites as to me, lyrically it’s her from the 80’s but with a modern 2010’s sound. But I wanted more from this woman who I just knew had more to give. Mid 2015 I went on a scavenge for her music. (This was during the mp3 download times, mind you. My phone did not have enough storage for 12 M albums) I went through the track lists of her 12 previous albums and chose 5 tracks to save based off titles alone: 2 singles and 3 deep cuts. Everything I listened to blew me away and even inspired me in my own music. I consider 2015 to be my own renaissance period simply because the various topics M sang about in the few songs I heard shaped me at that time.
Her discography is massive and to this day nearly a decade later, I’m still discovering new songs (mostly remixes now) by her that not only influence my daily life & struggles but also how I view the world (American Life Felix Da Housecat Remix, anyone?)
I’m also a diehard Lady Gaga fan and I’ve been blessed to witness her journey from the beginning, but what I admire most about Madonna is that her career predates my existence. I’ve even bonded with my mom because certain songs she loved in the 80’s as a teenager were songs I also coincidently loved in the late 10’s at the same age my mum was
Gambler is a song I haven’t heard and I’m looking forward to experiencing it
