I'm quite surprised for the second position of Dress you up. I prefer the much more energetic but, sadly, almost forgotten "Gambler". In any case, for me the live version (1985) and remix edit of DYU are far superior to the the album version.

LAV (and related songs) for sure is not my favourite Madonna's album but contains so many iconic songs that ranking half of them is almost impossible...I'll put my hand on my heart and will vote after a careful assessment.

Madonna became certainly worldwide famous during the Like a Virgin era, but definitely reached the status of superstar when published True Blue. Radical change of look, different musical direction: everybody loved Madge in 1986-1987. Check the impressive footage of WTG world tour!
