I remember when she mentioned such a project back then, being so excited.  The content was just there, so it was a matter, organizing it and just releasing it. She was so sure she was going to do that, but I guess she got busy with numerous film projects by that point.  Then before we knew it, we had "Beautiful Stranger" before she finally headed in the studio for Music.

I’m really hoping for a “special curated” Veronica Electronica similar to the American Life Mixshow with Ray of Light album remixes to make up for the fact that it never happened during that era.

Honestly I can't see a better album title other than "Ray Of Light". Positive, cool, fresh, tells the narrative in itself with just three words, new mom, new Madonna, new sound, cool, Spiritualdonna, I mean it was perfect.

Also remember that interview, and that's why she later used that name for her tour, at least.

Are you new in this fandom right? 😅
So welcome to this fandom then!
The remixes are an important part of Madonna's history, did you know that she released "Finally Enough Love: 50 Number Ones" due to her record of 50 remixed songs that hit the #1 in the extinct Billboard Dance Club Songs chart? That was AWESOME!!! 🤯 Also she's one of the most remixed artists of all history!
Now get used to remixes! 😉🤟🏻

Fake?  FAKE???? Even Madonna usually sings her songs using remixes in the tours. She loves the remixes made for her songs. They are approved by her. And in my case, I'm fan of Madonna thanks to the remixes (Where's The Party, Like A Prayer, Express Yourself, Open Your Heart, Burning Up, Keep It Together, Fever, Bye Bye Baby, Deeper And Deeper, Human Nature, Dress You, Up, Over and Over, Into The Groove, Everybody, What It Feels Like for a Girl, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc).
If you think that remixes are fake, using the same logic, I sometimes think that album versions are like a version 1.0 and many remixes (especially those that are similar to the album versions) are the final enhanced versions.

Warner used to buy some of her chart positions.
And I remember a friend of mine telling me in 1992, when SEX and Erotica came out: "Her career is over. She's clearly just trying to piss people off. She doesnt care about her fans anymore."
So, he moved on from her. I didnt. And she has, since then, made new fans, who, at some point, will also question her choices. They just think theyre the first ones to come along and ask these questions.
Madonna has had fleeting moments of popularity: the first couple of years, Like a Prayer, Ray of Light, Confessions. But she's never been a very easy artist to digest (Ive said this before). When you know this, you stop making her artistic choices about you.

I mean, go watch some of her older interviews from the 90's. People back then were saying the same thing about her they are today. They're just the loudest.
And even Warner didnt know how to manage her during the Erotica years.
We are very critical of artists these days like they answer to what we have to say about them. When in reality, they owe us nothing. When we fail to understand their choices, we think they fail us.
For all the criticism I read at the time for Rebel Heart and how it hadnt sold, when I was at the show, EVERYONE around me knew the words to Holy Water and Rebel Heart, and Devil Pray, etc.
I remember thinking: ok, so people HAVE the album. They know the music.

I think, as a lot of other people who have posted have said, that Madonna has just changed. She's always changing. I think that's what makes her so fascinating.
After she married Sean, a lot of people began to come out and call her obnoxious and many other celebrities said in interviews that she did come off as mean. That would go on for years. But, she slowly evolved into ROL Madonna, who was very wise, spiritual and self-aware, and part of that was because of Lola's birth. Then, after Guy, she became English Madonna, and part of that was, I think, to make him happy. Once the marriage ended, it obviously became clear to her that she didn't have to try to please him anymore because things were over and she was probably also angry, so she rebelled against that image, which in turn, gave us MDNA Madonna and current Madonna.
I think she's still rebelling against that image of the perfect wife, of the prim, proper woman. A lot of people want women of her age to settle down, be married and be quiet. She doesn't want to do any of that and she wants to be loud about it. She wants to keep up with the trends, make new music and just have a good time like a young person would. I think she's compensating for all those years of being married to Guy, where she was obviously very different. Divorces are hard, break ups are hard. We all have events that shape us and change us.
Obviously, I could be wrong about everything I just wrote because I don't actually know her, but that's what I think. She always changes.

Thats like looking at the Madonna from “Lucky Star”, and seeing the Madonna from “Erotica” and asking “What happened to her?”.
Madonna’s just done something alot of us fail to do: evolve.

Has anyone else gone to YouTube and tried to find yourself in a video footage from the night you attended? I'll embarrass myself by going first:

This is my mother and myself. It's so surreal watching yourself watching the show. Its like living vicariously through yourself, but yourself was also there in person?
ANYWAYS, does anyone else do this? I think its fun watching your own natural reactions to the show, not knowing someone is (inadvertently) filming you.
All that being said, post yourself in video footage (if you're comfortable doing so)!

I really don't get that when it comes to great Madonna vocals the Who's that girl tour is over looked. She gave some of her best live vocals on that tour imo

I agree that age is quite typical age when you start to take music much seriously.
Of course, I was listening to songs before that age but those were either children songs or Sineae O'Connor - Nothing Compares 2 U  really, my mother keeps telling me that it was my absolutely most favorite song as a kid. I was singing it constantly when played on (M)TV as 6yo. But actually, I don't not remember any of that. I was just a kid so I wouldn't consider that being a real fan. Only when you're 12-13yo, you start to take music seriously, explore genres, different singers.
At that time, all my friends were crazy about Britney Spears - Oops, I Did It Again.. And then there was me. Crazy about Music (song) by this, at that time, unknown and completely new singer to me - Madonna. And when I finally got close to Music (album), my mind blew off. Music was so much different than any other pop album at that time, I immediately fell in love with it. Soon after that, I started my 'Madonna journey' and it was a ride, IT WAS A RIDE! It was like going back in memories I didn't even know I have. I was so surprised she has so many hits...
Frozen - this one is also sung by her?! Incredible
Secret - I vaguely remember this "mmm somethings coming over" from my childhood, this is also her? Crazy
Vogue - oh yeah, I remember now this one is from Madonna as well
    And then experiencing Erotica era
And then 80s.. Her biggest era.. So many dance anthems I somehow knew but I suddenly realized these all are HER songs.
I absolutely didn't care she is not the best vocal singer out there. She was (and still is) the best pop singer. This is anyway a pop business, not a singing competition. She needs to be able sing, but also be a business(wo)man, entertainer, creative person, marketing person etc and she managed to do that all perfectly.

Yes she has had vocal training since very early on her carreer, much more than people tend to think. But yes, big change was 1995. As a studio singer, she is amazing and I love her singing on her many eras, special mid 90s till mid 2000s.
As a live performer, as we always say, she had her high and low moments. I think she doesn´t have a natural talent for singing in the sense other female singers have, but to me at some point she excelled and as performer she is much better than some of this screaming divas. It´s just some of her live vocals as eurovision or rol on mtv were out of key and not well done. But when she tried and did it good, I love her even in live settings.
