There's literally nothing out about the first re-issue except people saying it makes sense it'll be "Madonna", since it's the 40th anniversary.
So it must be the digital singles? Usually we find out they're being released some days in advance and of course once is already out in NZ we have the tracklist and previews... cause it's out! What's confidential about it??

It's not 1998, what's with that message. If they really want to surprise people with these releases, make them available worldwide at the same time instead of doing regular midnight releases for each country.
The fact that they worry about that and not about a proper remastering or including all the proper versions, well. A choice.

Yes, all of them are the same edit but from different transfers at different times, hence the very slight speed differences. I think the same issues happened with other older tracks too.

It's bizarre that they've obviously lost or destroyed all the original artworks. You'd think they'd all be stored in an archive.

I think in the good old days a good clip was A LOT. Today a good clip can be sooo overlooked if you re not hot..see Ghostown.

She also didn't do a whole lot of promotion for it as she was filming Dick Tracy when the album came out. A few interviews here and there, but she largely let the music videos do the work. The MTV awards in September '89 was the first and only tv performance until the tour. Then when Blond Ambition kicked off she went into promo overdrive for all of 1990.

I think she only released oh father because fincher persuaded her to make a video for it but sadly it bombed - even though it’s a masterpiece of a music video and like everything else from LAP was ignored from Grammys which still pisses me off to this day 🥹

Tracks 1, 3 and 5 are identical to the 2001 remasters indeed.
The 7'' Edit is a tiny bit slower than the 1996 3'' CD when compared side by side, and the fade is like a second longer (you hear the last "ooh, yeah" more clearly. It's remastered.
The PA 7'' Edit looks close to the 3'' CD too, but also a tiny bit slower, although the 1987 YCD promo version is even slower (in my software at least). Not really noticeable unless you play them side by side.

01, 03 and 05 seem to be just the 2001 remasters, same masters.
02 is the remix edit but remastered. It's LOUD.
04 is not the You Can Dance Single Edit, it's a different master and seems to be the original one. It's not remastered. Way quieter than all the rest.
Her pre-"You Can Dance" 80s material seems to be cursed on digital, I guess.

I expect lots of disappointment tomorrow lol

Still... more exposure for Miss Physical Attraction! 

They gave us both Fever edits, so nothing is impossible. They do surprise us sometimes. I still think that the Borderline single was a faulty upload. They recently changed all the titles and the whole thing was not really announced anywhere. They might fix that one at some point.

Me either. It really annoys me when people on Facebook leave nasty comments under her post or "Haha" reaction. If they don't like her why they're hanging shit on her? What a waste of time!
