This 1985 comedy starring Madonna and directed by Susan Seidelman tells the story of a bored New Jersey housewife played by Rosanna Arquette who is desperate to escape her suburban life. When she suffers amnesia after a little accident, Arquette is mistaken for a free-spirited and free-loading New York City drifter named Susan, portrayed by Madonna in her first starring role. The movie boasts a time capsule of great songs from the 80s, most notably, Madonna's smash hit "Into the Groove."
