I only really noticed when re-watching recently just how poorly received that version of Like a Prayer was... to me its the best version of the song, and I play it very loudly in the car... but I must admit that audience didn't appear to be loving it. Ah well, I enjoyed it, I still have memories of having to go upstairs and put another TV on to watch it because the living room TV was occupied...

Ah, good times.

 

 

As for Live Earth, I remember making sure my Dad got us back to his in time to watch it, and he wasn't overly excited for it. Once it was over, he thought she was incredible. The rather depressing angle is that he then went 'I'm sure in the next ten years she will go very much downhill', and he was sort of right.... Ah well, nice one Dad...
