Popular Post Roland Barthes 6,157
Well, second if we consider she first officially appeared to the world in VF in 1998. Lourdes Leon Is Ready to Express Herself Madonna’s eldest daughter on joining Instagram, her dream dinner with Rasputin, and her first boyfriend, Timothée Chalamet. BY BRITT HENNEMUTH PHOTOGRAPHY BY ADRIENNE RAQUEL STYLED BY RON HARTLEBEN APRIL 21, 2021 fter a lifetime of relative seclusion, Lourdes Maria Ciccone Leon, the 24-year-old eldest daughter of Madonna and “fitness guru” Carlos Leon, as Leon calls her dad, is suddenly larger than life. Specifically, she is 20 feet tall on billboards across the country as the new face of Marc Jacobs. She’s also starring in a viral Stella McCartney campaign, and is finally on Instagram. Over FaceTime during a visit home to Los Angeles, complete with unintentional cameos from Mom and a few of her six siblings (“I’m doing an interview, can’t chat”), the trained dancer and self-proclaimed “Latin from Manhattan” is refreshingly candid and intentionally provocative, with her contrarian sense of humor on full display. SHE GOES BY Lola to her friends. AS A “LANKY kid,” she started ballet classes at three years old. “My mom really went hard for that once she saw there was potential.” SHE’S UP FOR a challenge and would like to play Mother Teresa in a movie. HER DREAM DINNER includes “some words” with Princes Philip and Charles (whom she deems “a bit evil”)—but only after seeking advice from choice agents of chaos: Rasputin (“He literally just manipulated the royals”), Castro (“Anyone who’s ruled a country would be interesting to talk to about this”), and Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes (“I don’t think it’s horrible for women to have this show. Even when they’re screaming, I love it and it’s soothing to my brain”). HER ADVICE FOR “grown-ass men who ask me if I’m on ‘The ’Gram’ ” is: “You need to gather yourself and think about the way in which you want to get to know people because that’s just not how you do it.” SHE ATTENDED Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in Manhattan alongside Timothée Chalamet—“I respect him a lot, we were a little item. My first boyfriend,” she says, “or anything”—and Ansel Elgort, “a terrible DJ.” AFTER SEEING HER first MAGA hat at the University of Michigan, Leon transferred to the competitive dance conservatory at SUNY Purchase, where “10-hour studio days” were the norm. “You think that your body is not capable of something until you just have to do it.” SHE’S OBSERVED A lifetime of strange gifts sent to her mother. “She’s expecting something nice that she’ll actually use and she gets a leather horse condom and a bong shaped like a cock and balls,” courtesy of Steven Klein. “She doesn’t even smoke weed.” AFTER AN “EMOTIONAL” trip to Cuba in 2016—“I look like my grandmother, and my family members were all freaking out, grabbing my face”—she hopes to spend extended time in her father’s family’s homeland. “That diaspora engine yanks you back.” FOUR YEARS AFTER making her modeling debut with Stella McCartney, she choreographed and codirected the campaign for McCartney’s Adidas collaboration last summer—a welcome project, she says, because “it’s been really hard as a dancer in the time of COVID.” HER GOALS INCLUDE getting a driver’s license and “motivating a person or two” to realize their dreams. “I would just like to be of use.” SHE’S CURRENTLY READING White Fragility by Robin DiAngelo, All About Love by bell hooks, and Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates. HER HERO IS Jersey Shore star Jwoww, because “she was never getting too sloppy and she always looked really hot.” SHE MET Marc Jacobs when she was 12 on the set of her mom’s Louis Vuitton campaign, and was “super fascinated with his tattoos.” SHE FINDS SOLACE in spirituality: “Prayer is something that is really helpful to me. I love religion and religious people.” SHE SEES A shift in the next generation: “After the last presidency, I don’t think I have one friend that’s not depressed or anxious,” she says, though “we feel together now, and there is a sense of solidarity and responsibility for any person that doesn’t feel safe to walk down the street.” HAIR, ANDY LECOMPTE; MAKEUP, SELENA RUIZ; MANICURE, THUY NGUYEN. into the erotico 1,048
aren't you tired of famous people's kids having careers because of their last name? drivebitch, stfan97, Posthuman and 2 others
poodle 260
As for the pictures - meh. Dull. Does Lourdes still have that strong swimmer body definition with a V-line? Great upper body strength, wide shoulders? The pictures are trying to hide her great structure.
DanM 233
I might be alone on this but after her IG comments she is anything but intelligent to me and also not interested seeing topics related to her so called career based on her mother's name which paradoxically also bothers her very much. Entitled brat... sad to see how Madonna's children are (except for David). I expected more from Lourder until the Instagram fiasco. It makes me sad to see how her biological children are such a mess. Especially this girl. Her personality is ? & she’s not even a teenager anymore. ? she refused to get the right help / guide from her mother back in the days when it was the RIGHT time. Aren't you all tired, supposed Madonna fans, of FUCKING SHITTING on everything related to her lately ? What's your psychological deal here ? You can't cut the chord with someone you used to love ? Are you that kind of ex whom stalks you to trash you ? Because you allsurely sound like it. "We're not sheeps" sure but you are real psychopaths devoting your life and time here ruining everything for those who still care. You're not interested ? Then don't read, don't click. You all have turned this place into a shit hole. Your bitterness is unbearable, you are toxic. Seek help. Really. Lola was right to shit on you, you are embarrassing. She doesn't smile ? Well, do you ? And when you want to trash Madame x, Samuel, make sure you don't share the lousy 80's music you make. It's terrible. momosfantasy 973
I think she's fierce. And I don't blame her for being shitty with people, it's got to be tough wondering if every person you come in contact with is using you to get close to or just interested in your mom. How would any of you guys feel about that? I think her responses were pretty damn funny, myself. But that's a ludicrous way of looking at it. If a famous person's child tries to break into any field, they can be met with the assumption that they're riding on the coattails of their name. When they don't have a career at all, they're accused of being spoiled and living off their parent's money. It's a no-win situation. They're human beings like the rest of us. Some of them might actually have some talent too. As for Lola, I think the pics are great and I found her responses funny. Pootz333 2,922
I know J Woww is somewhere in New Jersey getting her entire life. If the baby pumpkin's IG is anything to go by, I'm sure she's thrilled a reference to one of her Mom's hits is used for the title of the article ? I personally think she's much more striking and stands out from the pack when she isn't so painted. She is stunning in paparazzi shots. If M ever goes on Drag Race I want Lola as the other judge. momosfantasy
