Sorry, I'm a design teacher and projects like these are really excellent assignments. Take an existing brand/identity and couple it with a specific product/discipline. It's a super fun and easy way of learning how to analyse brands and see openings how to translate that into a commercial product. This neon signs vs popstar should be a dream, the outcome here is what a student would bring to the first class. It's an idea but underdeveloped
