It was shot on 35mm Film so I can see then saving some money and not taping all the show. Same thing with BAT.
 

Totally. It didn´t fit in the whole ROL project. A rarity. 

It also evolved into Frozen…Madonna has generally had a knack for knowing what will withstand the test of time. Revenge is very much of its era and doesn’t have the timelessness to it that other tracks on ROL retain, imo. 

The moment for downtempo rnb has passed now sadly. That genre is in decline against after a good ten years back on the forefront. Big pop, alt pop and rock twinges are coming around again. She’d get away with dance too but an RNB vibe would make her feel a bit behind the curve. I’d have loved it though a few years back. 

But she looked absolutely stunning in the 00s! And I believe she was on a really good path for her. I really loved her writing in the 00s.
