I LOVE her reaction to Ray Of Light!
Me too it was so detailed and I too as a pisces 🧜🏻♂️ guy I have that watery connection to it that fact that it takes you to this watery universe is gorgeous she gets it so much in fact she gets every Madonna album so far for sure

I am not a fan of album reaction, but I think this one is well focused on the good aspects and the flaws of Madame X:
I follow her channel Beth gives amazing analysis and knowledge of her reactions she gives detailed critiques and showcases what she loves about each album AND updates on albums she's revisited since her initial reaction ....it's very interesting ....a new fave channel she's authentic and has a fun energy too her ADHD is so relatable for me and I love how Madonna albums transport her every time
She's got like a virgin, true blue, who's that girl I'm Breathless, something to remember, Evita, Mdna and hard candy left to react to

MDNA was a good example for me where I didn't REALLY like the songs but kinda fell for them after seeing the tour version live. Same with Erotica. Girlie Show ignited a love for Fever within me, MDNA, Addicted. I was also in a Madonna slumber after the high from Gaga's Born This Way album the previous year.
Me too I was hyped for Mdna expecting something huge like Born This Way which saved my life.....but it felt ....very cash in on the EDM party album but as a post divorce breakup rage album too which was ....like Madonna's version of Femme Fatale but angrier I dare say ....born this way era should've been what Mdna was I feel but alas it is what it is
We should've had a HUGE album if aesthetics, music, production, storytelling, big singles and visuals and choreo and getting her trending everywhere in a good light ....the tour was massive but the album itself felt a bit off m..I love Mdna a lot but it's not what I'd hoped we would've had

Ironically, the stuff Danja and Timbaland produced back in 2006-2008 is still enjoying great popularity and is even having a bit of a viral comeback. So yeah I wouldn't say it aged horribly, more like the very opposite.
I feel like with Hard Candy people unfairly hate on it because it followed the very fan-pandering and popular COADF. Hard Candy kind of lacks an identity because the visual concept and them got switched around so many times throughout the era. It was indeed very inconsistent. It was also a bit of a defeat for M because she succumbed to what was popular at that time. It definitely paid off though, because the album was still very successful and outside of the US, it did very well commercially.
The real stinker was MDNA which ended her commercial appeal especially due to its abysmal lead single choice.
For me I dare say HC is pandering to her debut album ....Confessions actually is very arty layered and different like it feels so futuristic and timeless with it's nods and throwbacks across the hour long runtime it's like art theatre mixed as a blockbuster film ....much like the drowned world era before it ... Wall to wall in detailed accurate sound
HC was a colossal step down in lyrical and production content because it felt very much this is hit in America ....this will end the record deal let's go vibe and the result was a very good album but despite breaking records for 50 year old madonna ...she sadly I feel succumbed

It's interesting to see each persons take on each album really because there's such range for reasons why least faves don't clock as much
Like IMO Madonna has never released an album that's bad or poor like my least faves are still good albums or I have memories with them and stuff
To have a legacy where her least liked albums are as good as some best
Like imagine if MDNA was released today it literally would fit the clubby EDM trap party rage emotion vibes now! Some Girls could be a Collab with Charli xcx, Get Sam smith on I'm a Sinner, Kim Petra's in Girl Gone Wild, Ariana on I'm Addicted or something it all would fit in ....it's a post divorce, post custodial battle, post ageism type of album of a really insane meld of sounds yet it's a lower ranked album because she'd done incredible stuff....the only reason I rank her first two that low is because her debut and LAV I find very 80s vibe and requires that mood in a way True Blue and Like a Prayer are so elevated ....like Haim, Florence, Lorde, Whoever could nail those albums in this era or future and they still wouldn't sound 80s vibe whereas her first two are very much 80s throwback mostly ....still good and enjoyable but still

Artist do this ALL the time. Michael Jacksons whole career had songs that were recorded sometimes 15 yrs before. Prince was the same. Artists like Gaga write stuff for their next album while on tour with their current album because that's where their creative juices are flowing most. Production tweaks happen later. Writing is different to production and even so can be updated later. That been said if it's an 80'd inspired song that decade isn't going anywhere or evolving so I think she's good. .
Yeah likely THIS I would say, though personally I'd love an album if this is why Madonna is Madonna ....a big vibrant energy style album could be interesting if she's using pre your, through your and post tour inspiration will be very very interesting for sure ....

I feel like Confessions on a Dancefloor, Ray of Light, Bedtime Stories, Erotica, Madame X offer what the concepts of the album will be and the overall aesthetic too ....hard Candy I think is a very good title too as a contradiction

Also seeing fans bash her recent albums is always sad to see because they defined my late teens into late 20s Hard Candy - madame x.....rebel heart and Madame X deserve their flowers not many at 60 would be so out there
She could've just had dancey house beats to each single to sell both albums but no she went all out and I'm thankful of that and they work so well

Honestly I adore ALL her albums in different ways as a 90s kid I feel I get personal affection to everything from true blue- Madame X as those albums were played when I was a kid True Blue/Like a Prayer/I'm Breathless(the first Madonna album I ever heard!) immaculate collection/bedtime stories/something to remember and Ray of Light (erotics wasn't in the household until I bought my own cd collection when confessions was released)
For me I tend to play her debut and like a virgin the least ....I don't relate to them as much ....but I do live them!
For me Evita I can't ever play or listen to like....it's so dour sadly

Rebel Heart ❤️🔥⚔️ I do feel whilst is very much a mix tape of her conveyors ideas and feelings and vibes very much is a hitting album ....it's bloated but I do feel it contains done of her best songs- Living for Love, Ghost town, Devil Prey, Joan of Arc, Inside Out, Holy Water, Heartbreak City, Iconic, Messiah, Body Shop, Beautiful Scars, Addicted, Wash All over Me,Veni Vidi Vici and Rebel Heart are all just....brilliant! Like that could be the masterpiece album ....i adore all those songs I love that she worked with Ariel Rechtshaid, Diplo, Sophie, Blood Diamonds to help build together the album and in many ways I miss that time
Her 13th album a decade later to me showcases her biography and her legacy as she neared 60 it made sense for her to reflect where she was at and where the state of the world was at at the time.....ghisttown, living for love and the album itself deserved Grammy recognition 🖤

Her next album I just hope she's inspired ....if it's 12 clubby songs for the tik tok generation with all tracks under 3 mins I'd rather not have it .... Katy Perry is doing it so M doesn't have to
Genuinely I feel that I honestly feel Confessions was like her Grande finale ....and HC, MDNA, RH and MX are the extras in many ways ....Ciao Bella in many ways feels like an epilogue to her 40 year career then ...and I arise over coming it all....and Rebel Heart essentially was her auto biography as she hit 60 so like....it makes sense and it's crazy ! All of her albums are better than a lot of the best today and that's saying something I'm just ecstatic we have them all to enjoy and if she decides to get inspired soon then that's great too ....right now the market is over saturated and the world is in a huge chaotic state of unrest

GMAYL was something else ....all of us ready to show off the world MADONNA IS THE GOAT then.....they chant as her first single in 3 years and post Gaga, Rihanna, Katy domination it all felt behind sadly
I love Mdna it's a camp classic but it'd not up there sadly with the main releases of the 2010s
