I have also heard that a lot of these quotes are fake as well.
But, it is still a shame that Madonna and Mariah weren't recognized. I think it has more to do with them not being young, new artists. They're just not even in the conversation anymore when it comes to the mainstream.

On a personal level and as a fan I completely agree.
However, in the cold light of day this is not personal - it’s business. This is a professional global tour which is designed to draw audiences from afar to these few venues. Knowing that thousands of fans will be using valuable holiday time, money etc to attend. Cancelling or not cancelling on such apparent whims is just wrong. There is no defence of that. They need to get a grip.
I have tickets for 8th Feb Row D. I’ve seen all tours since DWT. I’ll be gutted if/when it is cancelled. However, the daily drag of having to think about the approaching day with no certainty - I’m accepting that I would rather her cancel the tour. I’d hate to be in some kind of lottery deciding if I’m a lucky one whose show goes ahead or cancelled at 6pm. I don’t want to go through this worry and then have it cancelled on the day. The high expense of the tickets also considered... the excitement of an upcoming M show has gone for me as of now.
 

I'm sorry but i don't understand the all the bad things against her. I understaned the sadness for not see her, but she's 61 and has a problem. Is she guilty for trying too hard? Maybe. At least she is trying. Maybe after tomorrow's show she will cancel everything, but this things happens when you're human and not an hologram.

I think she should cancel the tour after Lisbon - rest for the year and put her feet up - during that time she could listen to all the demos and approve the dvds of her tours and get to work on that box set we are all craving - then resume the tour in a years time ?

I was SO looking forward to this concert.
I travelled all the way from Brazil to Portugal just to be here tonight, and guess what? Cancelled.
I had a pretty good seat, row D, so close to her.
I'm devastated. Not to say MAD. 

My favorite is Bad Girl. It's so haunting and so beautiful. It always pulls me in and makes me feel like I'm a part of the story. It also has an amazing music video.
My other favorites are Candy Perfume Girl, Mer Girl and What It Feels Like For A Girl.

Its fun that there is a "girl" song for almost every era.

I think everything about the song, the remix and the video is great, it is one of her most unique songs imho. 

Oh I forgot how much I loved the Reinvention performance of Material Girl. Thanks for posting. I loved how she rocked this song on her guitar. I'll always love the video too and her classic Hollywood look. So fun. Happy birthday to this classic and one that helped put her on the map. 

I actually really like this song haha. But, it's definitely a song of hers that is discussed the least, which is okay, obviously.
The lyrics remind me a lot of the style in which I used to write poetry for a class I had. The message, I think, still resonates today when it comes to gender ideals and standards in society.
I do prefer the original to the remix that was used for the music video, though.

I am sorry to all those who have purchased tickets and have been effected by the cancellations, but I personally think she should cancel the rest of the tour. She is in pain and she could be making her injury even worse right now by continuing. She needs to stop and rest.
Once she recovers after truly taking the time she needs, hopefully, she will be able to perform on tour again and those who didn't get to see her will have the chance to.
