I've never used TikTok tbh, my friend showed me it and I could see the appeal to people with no attention span but beyond that I wasn't interested. Bloody Mary charted in the UK singles chart last week at 57 and this week climbed to 56. If that's how the TikTok effect increases sales then I doubt Back That Up is gonna break Madonna's run of flops

I don't agree with the line "continue to support Madonna in everything she does, which is what her fans are for." Sorry @chaosmen1984mk i'm a Madonna fan for more than 30 years but i don't consider myself a puppet without any opinion who is here to support everything she does blindly. Most of the time i stay silent when i don't like something she does because i don't want to spread negativity on the forum but i certainly won't support everything she does blindly. i believe Madonna herself would find that approach very reductive and absolutely not intelligent.

There are more than a few occassions Madonna didn't get her way over the years that we know about and sometimes that really was a good thing. She didn't want Rescue Me to be a single, she did want Impressive Instant to be a single, she didn't want American Pie on the Music album or Die Another Day on American Life, she wanted Candy Shop to be Hard Candy's first single, the less said about the blackface Hard Candy cover the better... I'm sure there are others. People always sneer at those who make the decisions at record companies but they didn't get to where they were by making bad decisions. The Interscope years seem to be when she had the most influence over release decisions and look how that turned out.

Is there a Nowell’s demo of Sky Fits Heaven that we don’t know about, or are you referring to the Patrick Leonard demo?

She explicitely explained that they tightened the knot too much because she started further back from the main stage and that was a last minute decision. A small detail that had a huge consequence on the timing and choreo, since she also wasn't supposed to be on the stairs at that moment. It's pretty obvious that it wasn't planned.

What!!? You people are crazy, that was not a publicity stunt. Janet was an obvious publicity stunt, but that fall was real. Shit happens and that definitely happened. She was nearly 60 she wouldn’t do anything that made her appear frail or someone who’s “had a fall”.

Drowned World: This is pretty similar to the final album version. The intro (before the vocals start) is stretched out about 15 seconds longer.
Candy Perfume Girl: Quite a few structural differences throughout. It matches the Instrumental version we have (except this has the vocals obviously). From this, the final version had the intro shortened, one break chopped out, and another break filled in with beats, and one "girl/boy" chopped out of the ending.
Sky Fits Heaven: The highlight here, this is completely different from any other version I've heard. 100% Orbit production, without straying too far from Nowell's initial idea.
The tracks overall sound a bit better than the album too, in particular Candy doesn't have the same piercing sibilance that the album has.

Because it's lame... seriously I can't stand those ugly figures.
