Hi everyone! To celebrate the success of the last megarates I've organized, here is a download link for something I've made some time ago.

As you probably now, Madonna initially recorded Be Careful for Ray of Light before it was transformed into a duet and given to Ricky Martin. However the version that appears on his album has Madonna's vocals pitched down. In this version, the pitch of her vocals are as recorded.

What the hell

Thhank you but it's not reason, it's my job to be as factual as possible (to the point of being boring when it' not work related hahaha). A few years ago we did a special on club culture for Trax (a french mag about electronic music a bit like DJ Mag) and Pettibone agreed to be interviewed then backed down at the last minute. One of the journalists working on the project got to interview François Kevorkian and asked him the question we wanted to ask Pettibone : why did he quit the music business ? And the answer was : Madonna. The journalist thought there was a big story there but no, it's only because she moved on from him while demoing songs for Bedtime Stories. Even though she thanks him for "understanding" in the credits of the album, he apparently did not understand and still does not but he still sees his DJ friends (mostly at his hotel in New Jersey) and they all told him through the years to let go of the anger and come back, that Madonna did this with Orbit too and he does not hold a grudge. He apparently wanted to prove himslef with the follow up album to Erotica which he was, apparently, not satisfied with. We still could not believe it, because he could not be that petty to turn his back on everything just for that reason but, apparently, that's the reason or at least the reason he gives to his friends and peers. It's crazy.

Initially the horns (and strings) appeared in Chicago Bus Stop (yeah the one Nikki, Donna & Madonna sing on Express Yourself in the Girlie Show) by Salsoul Orchestra. Then the band parted ways with management because they were not paid a fair share and they formed the band MFSB and released Love Is The Message featuring the same horns. In 1983, Pettibone was commissioned to do remixing jobs for the band but he came up with "Ooh, I Love It (Love Break)" instead which combines elements from both tracks and is considered a new track. That's why he won the case, they sued him for use of his own work on Ooh, I Love It, it would have been different if they sued for the use of Chicago Bus Stop or Love is The Message. It's also interesting to note that the person who sued Pettibone and Madonna in the name of Salsoul Orchestra was...Tony Shimkin, co-writer & producer of all the Pettibone tracks with Madonna and probably uncredited on Vogue which fueled his anger against Pettibone for years so when he was appointed administrator of the Salsoul catalogue, he went after him (Madonna was just co-lateral damage). They apparently were lovers, the tension during the Erotica sessions (Pettibone did not want him to be credited) led to their break up and Shimkin went to work with Junior Vasquez (Pettibone's once sound engineer too). 
Pettibone reused his Love Break track for Vogue because it was already the soundtrack to the voguing balls. José&Luis even sing bits of Love Break in Queen's English (and Love Break can be heard in some original remixes of Vogue).

And Salsoul Orchestra did a funny disco album with "Coochi-Coochi" Charo in the late 70'S.

I thought we were apart from the Madonna fan forums tailor made specificly for village people (I do not mean the group ok?) and farm animals.

I'm no Gags fan but ill leave her to whatever people like, its not big secret M is such an influence its a bit creepy but she also has many influences. She makes people happy up to them, you like what you like. 
M has had many influences too and sampled. The difference is, M takes an influence, doesnt deny it and upgrades it. 

Katy Perry sings about how she kisses a girl and she probably didn’t (I forget who said that in an interview and I died). And Gaga, well…that was fun when it lasted 😌

Ray of Light & Confessions

Maybe that's the problem haha, Madonna is so insecure that she doesn't let the editors do their job the way they want, but honestly at least we deserve a Blond Ambition release, now that she found the masters, and yes more stuff, it would be even better if all the material of the concerts leaked, fans would edit everything way better, just like that guy on YouTube 'Dan K' who remasters her videos and movies on 4K and look beyond E P I C

The worst is Madame X, it sounds like recorded with an average phone
I wonder the same and also i think her best concert (picture) editing is Sticky and Sweet Tour, the blue instagram filters, the extreme lightning to hide her scars and the way each scene changes so quickly that you almost can have an epilepsy attack will always be unwatchable (MDNA, RH, MX)
Her MDNA special concert on L' Olympia is way better, that's watchable
I REALLY wish the team who edited Taylor Swift's Reputation Tour edited Madonna's concerts. i'd even like her to make that happen now, a re-release of her tours, completely and newly re-edited by people who truly know how to edit enjoyable concerts
also gotta say that Madonna is not the only one with horrible live albums, somehow many artists end up hiring people who ruin these releases, i even hate the obsession with the editors to make the crowds screams and noises appear to 'prove' that it was lit, it's annoying to hear screams, specially on the MDNA and RH live albums where everybody in the crowd is so loud
A live album should be just the artist and the band, maybe some crowd interactions but just a bit and in special cases, in my own opinion 

I am listening it, damn i am so sad... i feel heartbroken just to listen it, it's the first time i don't like a thing Madonna releases. fck. i HATE IT omg i am sad :(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((( It sounds SO BAD, i thougth it was gonna be bomb cause the guy who mixed this was posting marijuana pics, but no, it sounds so bad, aw wtf how HOOOWWW, how did Madonna ended up releasing that? those audios from iWatch'es sound way better, i tried changing the sound with an EQ and nothing helps, i am listening on TIDAL in MASTER Quality, it sounds so mp3, plus i just hear those guys screamings, it's so annoying, i don't give a fck who attended, i wanna hear the damn console audio, smooth like the studio album, she even puts that shhhhhitty reverb/echo effect which sounds so bad like if i was in the bathroom at the movie teather. GOD, just look that cringey cover photo, she looks inhumane, that enormous face, i FEEL BETRAYED SORRY NOT SORRY :(((((((((( it makes no sense, as a teather live show this should sound even better than the stadium live albums, this is horrible my god, if somebody agrees with this live album seriously needs to be send to a psychiatric. plus if you agree with this, you agree with Madonna becoming miserable through each new release. I CAN'T, THIS IS A MESS, she is not a queen of pop on this, she sings horribly even with all those effects :(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! not even on drugs could i enjoy this. I've been feeling lately that everything i once supported or loved so much with my soul is just breaking in pieces like a glass... i am really sad for real i see tears coming, i love Madonna so much i can't believe this

Is it me or after the intro there is a quick audio jump into God Control? The mixing is a bit messy for this release... I hope we can get a audio rip of the full show ?

This live album (or whatever this is) is an abysmal catastrophe. What a lacklustre serving of absolute nonsense. They could have tried to issue a real live album featuring all the songs to commemorate the show as it was since absolutely no-one except for the fans care about an audio-only release. Instead we get a total mess of butchered transitions, random fade-outs, muffled audience sounds and speech recordings that sound like they've been recorded from inside the phone pouches.
This load of crap isn't worth a single penny. In fact, it's actually kind of offensive to even consider releasing this to the public. I get that she wanted to reframe the concert film as some kind of statement piece, but it seems like all she's achieved is to erase any hint that this used to be a continuous live performance. I am extremely disappointed because the mixing of the songs themselves is great but everything else just sucks so bad.
