So Mirwais did a Q&A on his Instagram Stories and he of course talked about Madonna. The most interesting things:
-His fav Madonna collaboration is American Life (song).
-He would love to do an updated American Life (album). 
-Can’t You See My Mind is different from Die Another Day and it’s NOT a ballad. 
-His fav Madonna production is Die Another Day. 
-It’s true that the first version of X-Static Process was electro. 
-There are some unreleased songs.
-He learned patience from Madonna and she learned patience from him.
-There’s a version of Paradise with Letitia Casta (recorded before Madonna entered the picture) but Madonna changed it and her version is the best version of the song. 
-He would love to work with her again.

Yeah, Madonna didn't just "pose" in Evita.  That's just a ridiculous thing to say and I can't fathom how a fan really can make such a claim? I mean; I will be the first to admit Madonna isn't a great actress, but there are certain elements to her being an actress just doesn't work, while there are other things as an actress she soes well.  For instance, she is able to visually be convincing. That isn't anything ANYONE can do.  Like mentioned, there is something about her speaking that doesn't connect with me when she's acting.  Certainly, it's more convincing if it's more to whom she is. For instance, Truth or Dare or in DSS.  Both those films, required her to play up to whom she was at the time. Was there acting involved?  Yes! In both films. Even Alek will say Madonna was hamming it up on film to produce more juice.  But that's because she's better at usually improvising.  Once you give her a specific line, in a lot of cases, she comes off more stiff and wooden.  We saw a lot of that in her film Body Of Evidence. You can tell she was trying very hard in being a character that you'd think would be easy for her to play, but she was trying too hard at it.
With Evita, she seemed more at ease and yes, a lot of it is because the acting she had to do was more visual while miming the words she already recorded, but to me that is far more harder to do than just delivery lines while filming.  Why?  Because you have to capture an emotion that you already recorded vocally possibly weeks if not months ago.  That isn't easy to do. She had to make sure that what she was visually portraying, the same emotions visually would fit the emotions of the vocals she had already recorded.

well POG had its final week on the charts wayyyy back in Jan '99 and NRM made its debut in....May '99
the maxi was released in March (limited vinyl) and peaked in May (thanks to the CD version btw)
the CD single got released in May same for the maxi
and it got airplay but back in March (on top40 mainstream) and peaked in April but the WR geniuses decided to wait until May to release the CD single and maxi
so yeah they took forever and didn't really push it much

It boils my blood when I see people calling it "bland, R&B, ballad" she did desperately to win the public back from the 90's girls.
There's not a one Bedtime Story, Sanctuary, Human Nature or even a Secret in any Mariah, Celine, Janet or Whitney album by 1994.

Bedtime Stories is a huge demonstration of Madonna's knack as a producer, without her tight fist the album would be such a mismatch of sounds.

"Bedtime Stories" was a lush and expensive affair. Calling those songs B-Side material I mean, the ignorance. She was put to work with some of the best and most expensive producers of that era, Dallas Austin, Babyface, Nellee Hooper.
It was essential in the much needed at that point rebuild of her brand (with "Evita" later) and maybe she wouldn't even have a career now without that album. Plus she managed to combine the more obvious commercial moments ("Secret", "Take A Bow", "Forbidden Love") with the artistic statements ("Love Tried To Welcome Me", "Sanctuary", "Bedtime Story" and "Human Nature" singles and videos, both huge risks especially in the US after her longest #1 single ever).
It's a key album in her journey but sadly quite forgotten now.

Why would they even waste the cover on other people when they have MADONNA to grace it???

Probably one of her most beautiful vocals. Made the remix on the side while working on the Popular/Survival mash up. It turned into an ambient chill out track.

Richard Page co-wrote the song and performed it many years ago with just an acoustic guitar. I isolated his guitar and added Madonna's vocals. Turned out really nice, if you like acoustic stuff.
