If she hated it so much, I don't understand how it ended up as the B-side of 'Rain', even as a dub (Up Down Suite). And three years later, the final version ended up being released on 'Just Say Roe'. Obviously, she wanted the song to be released; it just didn't fit with the final version of the album 'Erotica'.

    Exactly.
It is weird to say Madonna hated GTI yet she worked so much to make it work.
The song didn't fit the vibe of the album. The verses were cool, but that chorus was too goofy.

Sometimes, just sometimes, an artist will work on a song for months and then hold it back from the upcoming release because sometimes, just sometimes, it no longer fits the concept of the album. And then the right album for it just never materialises because an artist keeps moving forward instead of backwards. Doesn't mean they hate it or disliked it, it just no longer represents what the album is about.

If the song is really autobiographical, then it sounds like she is referring to her father and her need to become successful as a way to fix her emotional issues. She became rebellious and used to blame him, she didn't realize that he and other family members were there for her.
She became a mother and she started to see things differently. She has a big family that she needs to protect even though she might seem cruel at some times. Life is a circle.

There are always two sides of a story. When Christopher released his book, fans said he exaggerated and did it for money. Why would it be different for Madonna? There are many people who lied in their autobiographies, not about everything, but certain things.
In the 80s she had problems with Sean. We know Sean abused her.  We also know Madonna was a nightmare.
I am not talking about negative stuff as in Madonna being provocative, bitchy and a rebel. There are moments when she wasn't a good person.

Madonna is the one who hires people. She does what she likes and wants. If we want to criticize, then let's criticize actual works like photos for magazines. Who cares about Instagram stuff.
This woman has done similar photoshoots for quite some time. It is always photoshoped photos with dark Hollywood glamour and "look at me, i am still sexy" attitude. If that what she wants, then it is fine. She also tends to work with the same people, because she created this comfort zone. That's why we are getting the same stuff.
She is obsessed with photoshop, but even some of the best photographers out there tend to use it and many of them tend to exaggerate just like Ricardo.
And, yes, Madonna also posts unflattering pics of herself on Instagram, which is unusual.

Anyway, I can't at some fans acting like Madonna is a boomer who knows nothing about photography. And what is with this generalization that all boomers are the same? Just because some boomer is amazed by some crappy photo or art doesn't mean the other boomer feels the same. You do realize that the same situation exists among every generations. Even Z generation can be amazed by the same shit like some boomer. All people don't have the same taste, or "the taste" to know what is good or bad. Some can see a nice pic, other can see many flaws on that pic. Plus, the best stuff Madonna did in her career was with other boomers.
Madonna learned some things from other artists. She has taste. That's why she worked with so many visionaries who also have taste. But Madonna is a human being too. She also can make mistakes.  Sometimes she did in the past.  And Madonna isn't the same person anymore she used to be. She doesn't care about everything being perfect. Sometimes she does perfect visuals on a tour (MDNA tour), while not showing the same passion for other projects (MDNA album).
We talk about a woman who says that Cherish is corny or whatever, then proceeds to make Superstar, then talks about artistic integrity.
Like I said, Madonna isn't the same woman she used to be, so if you don't like the current Madonna, then stan the old one. I mean, even I tend to criticize some of her recent works, but it goes too far when we blame other people and act like she is a puppet in music industry. Yes, there are situations when her collaborators deserve to be criticized, but don't forget that Madonna approves everything.
She likes to go with the flow at this point, because she has other things to focus on.
    Anyway, pic one:
    - Classic Madonna (before Evita)
    - Modern Madonna (from Evita to COADF) - mature, spiritual, improved voice, vocal effects, electronica,  British accent.
    - Contemporary Madonna (from HC onward) - Messydonna. Sometimes great, sometimes "wtf", but we love her.

I may not agree with everything you post!  But THIS!  Point on!  The hatred for Ricardo is unbelievably ridiculous. None of us here knows him personally to criticize his actual mentality or his intentions.  Sure, we can criticize his work, but like you pointed out, Madonna chose him. She isn't naive to how he's presenting her.  Also, I don't think she takes it so seriously.

Sorry but Meisel is not the Meisel of the 90s, this is the last project they did together

The latest Vainity Fair America 2008 photoshoot is aribushed to death

The same goes for Luigi & Iango and Mert And Marcus

Now of course Ricordo can’t use photoshop but at least the latest three “photo shoots” he did are better than his usual stuff.

Considering how many stuff have leaked, do you wonder if people have other songs too? You would assume that most of Madonna's demos are in archives in record companies or whatever, but people seem to get them.
And why can't we get some descriptions of those songs? Are Shep's Bedtime Stories demos good? Are they better than cheesy Love Won't Wait? Is Get Over demo different than official version?
Why did't some Madame X demos leak? After the album release, of course. So many questions.
P.S. I can't believe they still haven't started the reissue project. How hard can it be? If an artist like Grace Jones, who isn't successful like Madonna, can release great anniversary reissues with her label, what is the problem with Warner and Madonna? Give us the goodies.
In Madonna world, we should be happy because she posts nice photos on Instagram or she is a judge for Pride thing as a thank you to gays who supported her since the beginning. Gurl...

Apparently she heard the song and then told Orbit that he should have offered the song to her.
    Was this just a rumor?

I think it would have been great if it was a Madonna single.
Orbit didn't really shine on Music. Amazing was ROL/BS wannabe, while Runaway Lover definitely was  a good song that fitted the new sound created by Mirwais.
However, Pure Shores was amazing. It evoked ROL album, but felt fresh and different at the same time. It was written by William Orbit and  Shaznay Lewis (All Saints memeber). Produced only by Orbit.
Madonna should have invited Shaznay Lewis to work together with Orbit on Music songs.
