Candy Perfume Boy reacted to VogueMusic in Do you really think that Madonna hates her back catalogue?
    No.
As for this 'hating of her old songs' thing, I think fans take it all way too literally. First, she's not the only artist to feel that way about old songs. And two, she moved beyond that period where she really wasn't interested (around ROL). If she truly hated it all, she wouldn't do old songs in her tours, and they would probably be very different shows. She would have never done anything like Tears of a Clown. Or even Re-Invention. Clearly, she likes some songs better than others. And she's said multiple times that certain songs are just of a certain time that she feels silly just pulling them out without doing something to make them reflective and who/where she is today. I respect that, and it's given us some of her best live tour moments (that very few of her peers/followers even bother to attempt...or could).
As for remasters, box sets, anniversary re-issues, etc...yeah, we'd all love it. But clearly she's not interested in milking that part of her career...yet. She probably feels that stuff can be done later, and I don't blame her (though I'd love it now just as much as any fan). Personally, I think it would make sense to start doing those things into her mid-to-later 70s, probably once large-scale touring finally stops, and she moves on to other creative endeavors/life/etc. As for now, she's a contemporary artist working 'in the now' (as she always has), and she sees herself that way. I don't see that changing for at least a good ten more years or so.
That being said, around the time of the biopic release, it may be a good time to do a 'legacy' era of some sort.

No, I think she just likes to keep moving forward. She definitely seems more fond of looking back in recent years though.

Candy Perfume Boy reacted to Blue Jean in Has to Be Demo. Is this Becky Carlson's Love Theme
Oooh yes. Sound wise it’s very Rebecca Carlson. Lyric wise too whiny. I don’t think Rebecca needs a man to love her, she just wants the cock.

The guy has dedicated his time effort and talents to writing and recording an entire podcast series dedicated to her work and the brilliance of it?
Do I care for the guys general manner?  No not personally, but the angst and angle here seems misguided.

he’s obviously a super fan and I’m sure it’s not just me who think it’s a really weird flex.

Nothing personal Regine I just think you’ve got the wrong end of the stick here.

You're completely misrepresenting what he meant - he posted that in response to somebody saying that Madonna has never used sex to sell her music or advance her career. He didn't mean it in derogatory way at all if you look at the whole thread, in fact, he clearly sees it as a celebratory and empowering thing.

I love the Edits because many times they are better than the album version. Many of you see the edits like a "censored version to fix a minimum time" and that is not true.
Many edits give to the artist the possibility to "enhance" the original song, adding new instrumentation, removing repetitives or boring parts of the original song. Yes, some edits are awful (when the original creators are not involved) but the good ones are usually superior to the album version (Check "open your heart", "Like A Prayer", "Express Yourself", "Cherish" "Keep It Together", etc, etc, etc).
And talking about the "Remix Edits", many remixes are too long and repetitives and they really need a "Edit" version.
Another reason is because when you love so much a song, you want to get all the versions.

It’s subtle but it is different and uses several sound stems which don’t appear on the album version, such as the recurrent clap sequence. I love this version - it was the official 7” single A-side in the uk and the only one that isn’t available digitally.

I’d love the Open Your Heart 7” Remix. Apart from the 7” vinyl, the best copy I have is a rip from the ‘It’s That Girl’ promo cassette tape. I can’t believe it’s never appeared on any digital format!

Candy Perfume Boy got a reaction from Would You Like To Try in Shake Your Head - Madonna Vocals HQ Remakes & Originals
    Hi,
So we know in 1992 Madonna refused permission to Was (Not Was) to release her unused 1982 vocals on the remix track "Shake Your Head (Lets Go To Bed)", so the remixes by Steve Silk Hurley had to be remade with Kim Basinger vocals. The full 12" remix with Madonna vocals was issued by error on "Now Dance 93" on vinyl and cassette only (these have quite poor sound), and the Madonna Dub was put on the CD "Somewhere in America there's a street named after my dad". The Kim Basinger version was then put out as the 12" remix and also had two official edits; the 3.45 "Single Remix" on the CD of "Now Dance 93", and just to really confuse everyone a different longer 4.00 edit on "Now 23"!!
In the folder there's all the official Madonna and Kim Basinger Versions, plus I removed Kim Basinger off the Now 23 edit and Single Remix to create Madonna and Ozzy versions, plus a solo Madonna Single Version. I also remade the 12" Remix with a CD rip removing Kim's vocals and overdubbing Madonna's vocals from my cassette rip. I'm really pleased with that one, at last it has a more pristine sound instead of crappy analogue rip quality.
So to avoid confusion they're all well labelled!
    We have;
    1. Single Remix - Madonna only vocals - fanmade
    2. Single Remix - Madonna & Ozzy - fanmade
    3. Single Remix - Kim & Ozzy - Official CD Rip
    4. Dub - Madonna & Ozzy - Official CD Rip
    5. 12" Remix - Madonna & Ozzy - Official Cassette Rip
    6. 12" Remix - Madonna & Ozzy - Digital remake with CD backing track
    7. 12" Remix - Kim & Ozzy - Official CD Rip
    8. Now 23 Edit - Madonna & Ozzy - fanmade
    9. Now 23 Edit - Kim & Ozzy - Official CD Rip

I prefer the September 2001 test sequence over the final track-list. This sequence was documented on MadonnaTribe and includes ‘You’ll see’ over ‘substitute for love’. Although it won’t satisfy everyone, because so many great songs are omitted and it’s non-chronological, it’s actually a really great playlist and sequence. I do miss ‘Rain’ and ‘Nothing Really Matters’ though.

20 years ago, Barcelona (where I am from) had the opening night of this amazing tour. It was the beginning of a long summer, and amazing worldwide attention to her return to the stage after 8 years. Happy times.
After the show I told my family that I was gay. I was 16 and I never saw so many LGTBI people together till then. I felt included and full of energy after that night!
Artistic, modern, dark and joyful... the DWT is still one of my favourites after all these years!

From Rusty Egan Himself. I know someone who knows him and I asked for the digital files in exchange for a favor.
He said he can’t share them since they’re under contract to be released sometime soon commercially

The “here, kitty kitty” at the end of “Waiting”.
I always thought it was just ad lib sounds until read about it. Once heard, it seems so obvious.
