Many people complain about the half chorus in "Edit Two", so like other fans I added the full chorus (and I called this version "Edit Three") plus the famous 12'' Intro.

I took the so-called album instrumental (which is actually an unedited version of the single remix instrumental), and layered the acapella vocals on top. So now we have a version of "Deeper and Deeper" which is the single remix, but at the length of the album version.
This was more challenging than I'd anticipated because the acapella tracks are from different sources, or at least the ones I have are. If you hear any mistakes or have any feedback - constructive feedback - just let me know. I want it to sound as "authentic" as possible.

Ok... So I recreated the entire song from the sheet music. I also made an Instrumental version without the Vocal (Synth) Part. 
I then, like a dumbass, erased my entire progress. So the background music is unchangeable unless I go back and program everything AGAIN!!!! 
I cannot believe it!

I'm glad to see something that I always suspected: Madonna only has fun on Instagram experimenting and playing with the editing of her photos and her image and we should not take all this so seriously or get excessively dramatic thinking that Madonna is in a self-destructive stage from which she will never come out. This is just a momentary thing and it's definitely generating worldwide controversy and if that's the goal she's looking for she's already achieving it and I love it.

Followed what society expected of her... by getting married to a man?
Most of what she did during the Ritchie years was directly opposed to anything that could be considered 'classy' (your word).
Or do you have a problem with the floral dresses and cardigans she sported to promote her children's books?
I reject the notion that she 'wasn't herself' which seeks to minimise this peak period in her career.

I wonder if they went as far as producing the metal cover too. It must be very expensive today to produce that. I wonder if they also remade the mylag bag (meaning no one will cut it open to show what's inside of it at that price). 
I'm not surprised by the 1500/3000$ price tag, it's at an art exhibit not being sent to shops around the world so this re-issue (reprint ?) is like a piece of art. It's how much a catalog from these exhibitions costs....and it's also what a regular concert tickets costs today as well ^^ (thanks Live Nation / Ticketmaster)
I doubt the book will have new pics since it would mean asking Fabien Baron to work on them too. But maybe the exhibit will have the rare ones we've seen and som unseen ones. Hopefully Noami, Baron, Meisel, Rosselini and others will attend (INGRID WILL BE DEFINITELY THERE. She's already there as we speak)...and no, not Vanilla Ice. 
I hope Madonna will make an interview about it.

The fact she is commemorating the anniversary in such a way I think is really cool and appropriate.
Why do fans want a reprint when they already have the book?
If you can’t attend I’m sure there will be some brochures at the exhibition that some savvy people will sell on eBay for $300.

Madonna's SEX Book is being re-issued for YSL SAINT LAURENT at Art Basel Miami Nov 29 - Dec 04, 800 copies only, which few will be hand-signed by Madonna - price ranges from US$1500-3000 per piece.
'Madonna's groundbreaking Sex book, with its sexually-charged and erotic imagery, attracted extensive media attention and backlash when it debuted in 1992. Its cultural and social impact endures to this day, with the book an artifact of a defining phase of her career.
Now, 30 years later, the book is being reissued by Saint Laurent Rive Droite with a new edition published by Callaway. To celebrate the re-edition, Saint Laurent is holding an exhibition at Art Basel curated by Madonna and Anthony Vaccarello, where large-format prints from the book will be shown in Miami for the first time.
The Steven Meisel-lensed photographs will be on view in a temporary beachfront box built especially for the occasion. Only 800 copies were created and a limited number will be signed by Madonna with proceeds benefiting the artist’s Raising Malawi charity via an auction in the upcoming months. T-shirts and tote bags will also be for sale at the exhibition.'

I hope Meisel attends, he has not been seen in over a decade, not even at his retrospective in Spain. He is in his 70's now and it's been said he hides because he's vain about his looks (he was stunning) and hates being old. We tend to forget that this book is as much his work as hers. 

It also depends where they were stored - I heard that some were at the World Trade buildings and have been lost when they were blown up :/

Idk why I’m not allowed to compare her to Michael Jackson, yea so he’s dead but he’s legit the only artist that is ok her level.
 
They aren’t going to be releasing 80th anniversary editions of Madonna’s album when she’s dead, that’s the whole frickin point of this deal 

What are you talking about we haven’t gotten ANYTHING. As far as I’m concerned this is better than any cash grab vinyl we’ve been getting forever. I bet her anniversary editions will never be as expansive as this 

So, I've compared this release of YCD - Single Edits from Qobuz to the tracks from the 1987 Promo CD. I took a very fast look at them at Spek, and ran them through Audacity to compare them. To my ears they don't sound bad at all, but, quite curiously to me, they are not exactly the same files.
All of them run at the same speed through the whole thing, which indicate they come from the same master, but they sound a little bit... tweaked - all the tracks from the 2022 release are cutoff at a slightly lower frequency.
Additional things I noted (current release compared to the 87 promo CD):
For Holiday, Everybody, Physical Attraction and Into The Groove, the volume is a bit lower; in Over And Over, it is a bit louder; and in Where's The Party, there is some variation in this matter
In Everybody, Into The Groove and Where's The Party the bass is not as prominent/or the treble is enhanced. I can't say this for sure, as my ears are untrained for this.
Anyway, I think it's curious that they are not the exact same tracks, as they were using the tracks from Promo CDs for other releases of this campaigns, but not for this one. The differences are very subtle (at least to me), but I wonder why there are there at all, as it wouldn't make sense to alter the tracks just this much.

I checked the files in Audacity too, I don't have the promo cd but I found it here. Considering all the above you said, same source and everything. Although I noticed tape noise at the end on each track. For Physical Attraction the volume is higher on my test. Everybody, Over and Over, Into the Groove & Where's the Party have different waveforms in general.
I think those are pre-mastered mixes (final mixes but not mastered) or at least not mastered for cd, maybe vinyl masters (?), less bass etc. But I personally like the promo cd sound.
Also does anyone checked the Rain digital EP? I only have the European CD and noticed minor volume differences mostly. (But I always prefer to compare the local releases if available. xD)

I know it’s a lot of money but it’s quite obviously worth it, what with her being biggest music video artist of all time. I know I’m sounding like a broken record, but how on earth can acts like Eurythmics manage to scrape together the cash for 4K and Madonna can’t?! Do they need a gofundme?? Cause I’d happily throw cash at it!

Madonna's videos were shot on film too though. Even Mary Lambert commented about these recent upscales saying it was a shame they weren't doing it properly.

I think the rain remix edit was designed specifically to be radio friendly and translate better on a lower quality stereo. It simplifies the production and adds some gimmicks. Also there is the spoken part but just the main one.
It doesn’t have the drama of the original but I think it’s a great remix for what it is

"Express Yourself", "Fever", "What It Feels Like for a Girl" and "Celebration" have the same problem: the radio played a version similar to the "Album Version", and the TV played a video using a remix as audio. So for many non-fan people, the original version is the remix (thanks to the video). And they love these versions.
