I think the proper 'hits' from Interscope years are: Give me all your luvin', Girl Gone Wild, Bitch I'm Madonna... and from Madame X she seems interested always in I Don't Search I Find, wich is good, specially the Honey Dijon remix. Some of them should appear on next tours!
And yes, Sorry needs a huge comeback, with the Blondish remix, is a popular song again.

The reduced interest in Dua Lipa and Jlo are more specific to those artists I think. (Dua’s album is flopping and Jlo is getting major backlash.) People are spending huge amounts money on Taylor Swift, Coldplay, Beyonce, Pink… all doing extremely well touring wise. Include Madonna in that.
As for Janet Jackson, she may not be selling out but she’s doing better than she has in a long time. The fact she even scheduled a uk tour at all says a lot. 
Yes there’s controversy with Live Nation’s pricing but people are paying those stupid prices anyway. I don’t know how people can afford it. But I really don’t think it’s entirely true at all that the touring industry is on its knees. Yes smaller acts are struggling as are festivals but I think a lot of the bigger established acts are thriving. Perhaps some artists are losing out because people would rather spend $800 on a Taylor Swift ticket than see a handful of others for the same amount?
As for Madonna, well, I agree she should do her hits if she wants to keep doing big tours. But Madonna will do whatever she wants I’m sure. She’ll never reach the lows of a Jlo or Janet no matter what she does, her fanbase is too solid.

Maybe it's time for Madonna to retire herself from tours, given every fan of hers seems to be bored to every setlist from her...
...as it's pretty obvious she'll never listen to them when doing her setlists (otherwise Causing a Commotion would've been ACTUALLY performed on Celebration Tour, right?)

My least favourite album, on top of not-great songs and weird vocal effects we had aloof/oddball public appearances, the Eurovision mess, unflattering looks, that….tour. Honestly I’ve struggled through these interscope years and when I heard MX I thought shit, she’s not going to do anything that I love again!
But then came Celebration Tour! <3
Nice videos though.

Also the whole era was traumatizing for the fans cause around the end of the tour and the start of the covid crisis I think that´s when she kind of lost her mind, and we couldn´t believe the milk bath with petals of roses speaking about covid being the great equaliser, the injuries, the very strange face, the terrible instagram posting, Madonna losing her physical shape, and then the start of the bizarre singles and the woke messages non stop. But the good news is that, despite it all, she managed to return as the Madonna of always, at least in professionality and mood and face, for the big Celebration tour, one of her greatest ever. Also I rediscovered the album a few months ago and ok, it´s not my favourite, but I could enjoy it a little better, without any expectations, than at first when I disliked it totally. 

Already at the time of the Blond Ambition and Justify my love the press and the public began to perceive everything only as a way of doing scandal at all costs and then sell. I believe that Madonna with the project "Erotica" "sex" and the film "body of evidence" did nothing but reinforce this belief.
However, she could not show up in 1992 with a "like a prayer2" or a pop album when the music scene had completely changed.
Also I think Shep Pettibone was great as a remixer but didn’t have the ability to withstand the production of an entire album whose songs too often are not very incisive and repetitive in sounds.
This is demonstrated by the fact that even with other artists with whom he worked at that time he flopped always repeating the same patterns.
Put it all together ....

I enjoyed this album and era at the time. And the tour was lovely. She put a lot into the concept , videos etc.
But in retrospect it’s a weak album, possibly her weakest. The songwriting is particularly weak. Almost half of it sounds like earlier demos that should have been scrapped or evolved into something better before they were properly produced. Yes, there’s some interesting experimental aspects to it but they didn’t take it far enough to make it great in that regard. The vocoder is annoying too.
So yeah, happy anniversary Madame X 
 
 

In ICON shortly after the album's release, they mentioned that, after playing the album, the record label thought Frozen was the best choice as the lead single. I think M wanted RoL as the lead but listened to the label.

I think ROL was meant to be the album first single and it would have been huge. Was Madonna who thought Frozen would be a better choice? Overall I prefer Frozen and for me it might be Madonna´s best song ever, ok, but imagine something lighter and poppiier and happier as the title track released as the first single, with that video? Do you think it would have been number one? The album would have been greater? O less iconic? It´s interesting. Also do you think why Madonna prefer frozen over it? Awesome songs both of them equally.

And so, in my opinion, in terms of musical richness, not style, rythm or visual..her albums with Pat were among her bests, and better than albums like Erotica or Madame x. And I think many fans and critics around the world would agree.

Hmmmmmmm.... I think if it was the first single the video would have had to be better. I like the ROL video but it's a bit basic for a lead single IMHO. Also, I think we're all very familiar with the song now, but I remember when ROL came out, it was very strange and I didn't know quite what to think of it. I knew it was the most upbeat on the album so I should bop to it, but it wasn't an instant "Fuck yeah" from me. Frozen on the other hand stopped me dead in my tracks when I saw the video and heard the music. I was transfixed, mesmerized...

I saw an interview where she mentioned "Frozen" as the perfect transition from her previous album (BS) and the new sound in ROL album. I think it was a smart choice.

Great album, not her best, not her worst. Visuals, artwork, music... coherent and she put a lot of effort on it. But that doesn't mean that everything was well executed. The album is very experimental, they tried to promote the most 'commercial' songs like Medellin, Future, or I Rise, but it looked bland and confusing before it was released. If she wanted to be 100% experimental, they should push that idea further and not trying to do everything at the same time, like having Maluma, Anitta, Quavo... 
It's an album to listen once and with some space before the next time, it doesn't have the 'repeat' factor. It's the way to discover the messages, layers and the artistic vibe of the record. Also, very well mastered, it sounds amazing on good systems and also on small devices! 
I have the impression that Madame X Theatre was a disaster for her career as a touring act, though she recovered from it 100% with Celebration Tour. Very selfish, self indulgent, ego centric, disconnected from the real world while trying to be very on point... it looked forced, and altogether (promo, Eurovision, tour, COVID) gaves a feeling of a bad time on her life, dark and lost. Adding that to the violence of MDNA, and the bdsm of Rebel Heart... was like 10 years of dark vibe and music. Too much, wich is the thing that alienated a lot of her core public. 
It will be interesting to revisit it after new studio albums are released... it's the way to put things in perspective. 
 
 

Yes i agree, except for the part Melodies are Madonna´s own. From what I´ve reading, a lot of time she took for example Pat´s music and did an amazing lyric to it. But who knows how each song got created.
