I will always die on "The Look Of Love" hill.
Really her first step into what later would be a more mature sound in the "Like A Prayer" album (well, after "Live To Tell", of course).

It's That Girl on CD and double vinyl would be a dream for many collectors. We must insistently ask Rhino for it. Right now, it's the item I want the most as a collector.
I did my own It's that Girl replicating the original cassette thanks to my UK 7'' vinyls (except Borderline, It's recreated from a 12'' vinyl).

I love this album but many of the songs are a bit long for my taste.  So I made a re-edit album keeping the integrity of the songs but editing repetitive stuff out to shorten songs to 5 min or under.  The only song in its original form is 'Bye Bye Baby' and I left out 'Did You Do It?'.   Thank you @Franknkmfor posting your recordings of the vinyl Promo Special for DJs.  The sound is SOOOO much clearer and the bass, so clean.

tough choice between has to be and supernatural so i plumped for supernatutral simply because i adore those background vocals  

CDs started to take off in 1986-1987. After that, it depended on each country (in Spain, for example, they didn't really take off until 1991). Before those dates, if you wanted a CD, you had to look for it in specialty stores (mostly by mail order).

This "version" of It's that girl includes other fake, fan-made versions, as the edited versions of the extended dance remix of Like a virgin and Material girl...
 
 

I'm thinking some of you are forgetting that Burning Up has been something she worked on for a few years before her debut album. Just check out Stephen Bray's "Pre-Madonna" album. It was more punk rock in the beginning.  Madonna was obviously not impressed with the versions that ended up on the original release. There are alternate version from the early 80's of "Burning Up".  They all are pretty raw and obviously not suitable for her first album.  The more rock version that ended up on the album as well as the re-issue of "First Album" is pretty great.  But I'm quite favorable to all the versions.  But I do know what is heard on "Pre-Madonna" isn't suitable for the first album.

This page has a remix edit set to the official video which I really like because it follows the same song structure and although never been a huge favourite of mine, it makes the song sound more interesting. 
I imagine if Shep ever did a possible Q-sound mix it could've sounded a bit like this.

In my humble opinion, the 'You Can Dance' remixes/instrumentals/edits should be on its expanded edition, and not on the first album/Like A Virgin/True Blue, to respect Madonna's music chronology.

"Bitch, I'm Madonna" should be removed from any future setlist...I love Burning up, but I agree that the live rock version, reiterated since the RT, sucks mostly because her vocals are never on point...
