The official US release date for Lucky Star as a stand-alone single was August 8, 1984. Prior to that it was the B-Side to Holiday which was released on September 7, 1983. Holiday was chosen as the A-Side because it was performing better in the clubs. The UK got Lucky Star as a single first, on September 9, 1983. It was released to coincide with her performance at Camden Palace, You can see the "sunglasses" 12" in the background of the photos from Camden Palace. At the start of 1984 Madonna had to pay huge legal fees as she was being sued by Camille Barbone for breach of contract. She was persuaded to record a video for Lucky Star as it was sure to boost album sales and make her enough money to pay off the legal debt. Due to heavy rotation on MTV and good radio play, Warners decided to put it out as the 5th and final single from the first album, even though Like A Virgin was about to drop.
 
 

Since they are most likely going with US releases, Angel will probably be released with Into the Groove as its b-side and not the other way around.
If we're lucky, they'll add the discarded album version of Burning Up.

Wasn’t there some rumor that Madonna dropped her because she found out Nikki was having an affair with a married man and that went against her Kabbalah teachings? Madonna was nuttier than a fruitcake in the 2000s with all the Kabbalah crap. She wouldn’t cut Rocco’s hair until he was like 4 or 5 years old because of Jewish tradition. Basically, nothing would surprise me. It would explain Nikki suddenly trashing her.

I hope you don’t mind if I address this. Madonna didn’t narrate her sexual fantasies in the sex book. She wrote about the fictional sexual escapades of a fictional character called Dita. On this specific issue, when interviewed by J Ross during the Erotica era she stated that she was told she couldn’t depict images involving animals and minors in sexual situations and stated she was fine with that as none of her sexual fantasies include either. I think we’re conflating the character in the book with the woman who wrote it. 

I was making a general statement of what I've been seeing lately. I don't believe you intentionally started this to demonize her. 
And this is where my earlier point where I think people pop in and comment under the guise of being a "fan", trying to demonize her.  The "pedophilia allegations" came up recently because of her Vanity Fair spread/video for The Enlightenment, where she has those creepy dolls on her costume.  Anyway, I would stop reading the social media comments.  It's a cesspool of negativity and hate.  You have to keep in mind, people respond to negativity and hate before anything else.  As long as you know it's all bullshit and that Madonna isn't involved in pedophilia or worshiping Satan or whatever other nonsense some come up with, you should be good.  She's hugely famous and when you achieve such status, you are always going to find people hating on you for some reason or another, and in most cases, it's usually tied to some ridiculous conspiracy or false assumption.

He was old enough to be kicked out by his parents and have crabs, and we aren't told at what age the author had sex with him.  I think I know what you're trying to infer, but honestly it's a piece of fiction from decades ago that didn't endorse any particular way of life.
