So Mirwais did a Q&A on his Instagram Stories and he of course talked about Madonna. The most interesting things:
-His fav Madonna collaboration is American Life (song).
-He would love to do an updated American Life (album). 
-Can’t You See My Mind is different from Die Another Day and it’s NOT a ballad. 
-His fav Madonna production is Die Another Day. 
-It’s true that the first version of X-Static Process was electro. 
-There are some unreleased songs.
-He learned patience from Madonna and she learned patience from him.
-There’s a version of Paradise with Letitia Casta (recorded before Madonna entered the picture) but Madonna changed it and her version is the best version of the song. 
-He would love to work with her again.
 

"The actor explained at a recent SiriusXM Town Hall that he and the movie's director, Shawn Levy, had a “personal meeting with Madonna” to show the pop icon the sequence in which the song would be used in the film."
“Also, let's preface it with the fact that they don't license — Madonna doesn't just license the song, and particularly that song has not been licensed,” Reynolds pointed out. “So it was a big deal to ask for it and certainly a bigger deal to use it... We went over and met with her and showed her how it was being used and where and why.” 
Reynolds also revealed that, in addition to letting them use the track in the movie, Madonna — who has directed films like 2011's W.E. — gave them some feedback on how to make the scene better. "And she gave a great note," he recalled. "My God, she watched it and, I'm not kidding, just was like, ‘You need to do this, this, and this in this moment.' And damn it, if she wasn't like spot-on and right."

A fun poll of two obscure songs where one has been very controversial among fans since Madonna has embraced it as almost a "classic" among her catalog.  Of the two songs, which do you prefer?  Even if you dislike both, which one do you prefer over the other? 

Deep deep deep deep 

I'll go for Papa Don't Preach as it was the first real image shakeup and completely different sound for Madonna. The bangles, crucifix, big hair and Boy Toy look was traded in for a sleeker look, her voice was stronger and the production was quite a shift as well. Live To Tell gave a glimpse of the transition, but the Papa Don't Preach sound/look was really a surprise.
Rescue Me was really let down by the lack of a video :(

i think STR is a near perfect collection - i would have swapped out forbidden love for the look of love, bad girl for the dreadful one more chance and spanish eyes as bonus track except i want you orchestral - i own the japan cd which has la isla as the bonus track - always thought that a strange choice and it maybe it should have been a main track seeing as its one of her favourite songs.
