What some of you call lies are simply changes of plans, and they happen with every big artist. Some things are announced and then they never happen.
Gaga promised a second part of the "Telephone" video and "ARTPOP" part II... it never happened.
Janet promised DVD releases of her early tours... it never happened.
I think we can all assume now that the initial Madonna reissues plan has changed along the way and it may happen or not.
Announcements are not contracts, they're hype. It's not fun when they change but it it's not the end of the world.

I maintain a very organized iTunes playlist system. The last 25z are for new items I have yet to organize.

“Landmark reissues” are pure fan fiction. Ask Madonna and she would have no idea what you are talking about. She never said anything about this.

I do wonder if the celebration tour was in part done to get the biopic made as a teaser/promo and to convince film studio to back it again that there is enough interest still to make it a profitable movie e.g. 1.5 million people at the Rio show

Why do people go on about things sounding dated? I really think it’s not a relevant criticism anymore, especially not in a room of people aged mostly 35 to 60. They use old music in films , tv shows, video games, adverts, trailers , they play them in clubs, bars… music has no age. Young kids like hearing old stuff if it’s good. They sent an 80’s Kate Bush song to #1 a few years ago and a Sophie Ellis Bextor song to #1 last year.

I never heard that. We shall see what happens, i mean it took us DECADES to hear the truth about that glenn close rumor

I remember that rumour too

Idk why people keep ignoring this initial rumor...she's written an ENTIRE album's worth of NEW songs with patrick leonard. Some with the intention for the film. At this point she was unsure what was going to be released first and wanted things to move fast and thats when she took some to BloodOrange who turned those written demos down and would only work from scratch. The tour was also already in the works as well. Personal conjecture, once things were not moving as fast for the film and not going in her favor she decided to do the tour first instead most likely devoting the ENTIRE 2024 to the making of the film. Remember, Celebration was meant to be done by the end of 2023 before she got ill. We already know she's worked with SicKick, Honey Dijon, and Max Martin. I'm willing to bet we will get new music with the release of the film or shortly ala MDNA with Masterpiece.

I have to agree with this!  I always thought LAV is probably one of her most dated albums.  I think Bedtime Stories is very much of it's time as well.  True Blue as well, but there is something just refreshing about the latter two for me.
