You're right, so the original mastering engineer Tim Young would have mastered the albums for various formats, CD, Cassette and LP. 
I was saying I would like a remaster, so from the multi-tracks, a new master created for the formats and distributed. 
A limiter would still be used in the process. Otherwise I should probably throw away my degree haha. 

True but she literally dropped off of the charts post Celebration. It still would have happened with Warner eventually but not over night. 
Oh well it’s bygones at this post. Like so many things. 

I'd love a remaster of the American Life album, it's my first Madonna album and it could sound so cool, especially on LP.
The CD has always sounded good, they just cooked the track indexing on the mastering from 6-10 which is wild, thats what test pressings are for!

The version on the EP is going to merge automatically with the album version (106M) in the next few hours/days.
Only if Warner ask for the original album version and the "Celebration" version to merge streams it will reflect the total, they need to ask for that manually.

It looks like Caresse really nailed it and I think Guy O did pretty well at the job 2005-2011.

I remember there was a subset of fans, myself included, that emphatically wanted I’m Addicted to be a single/have been the first single. For years I swore up & down it was the lead single that got away. Recently I listened to it for the first time in a few years and it sounds dated af. I still think it could’ve possibly fared ok in place of GMAYL or GGW. It had that explosive edm chorus vaguely like Rihanna or gaga hits at the time.
For a minute there I wondered a couple years ago if history was going to come around to GMAYL and look favorably at it bc it’s sort of adjacent to that disney pop punk olivia rodrigo sound, but nah. That sound came & went and GMAYL is still not great.

Her manager during late 90s and early 00s was Caresse Henry, who did wonders for her during "Ray Of Light" and "Music". She was a much needed younger energy over legendary but older by then Freddy DeMann (her manager until 1996 I think). Even with "American Life", a difficult era for Madonna, Caresse was able to provide with as many opportunities for her as she could, and she had a quite busy 2003.
But something happened in 2004/2005 (no one knows what) and she was fired. And then Guy O took over.

I think you're right. I mean the singles and their performance were touch and go, as in what would actually generate into actual hits. But I think the right songs were chosen mostly.

Not me! They picked which songs were pretty commercial. But I knew that it would get limited exposure. No commercial outlet is willing to play a 60+ year old artist on any pop format that has always been geared to 40 and under.  I'm sure if she was among the age range, she would have scored bigger hits with her Interscope singles. 
That being said, she still dominated some dance and alternative charts for older artists.

Maybe, but it’s clear that many fans feel there was great material that could have been released as singles, with music videos that could have been epic, and yet they chose songs that didn’t even resonate with fans. Personally, I think Madonna might have kept the best tracks for album sales, especially since it was the era when CD single sales were declining. 
For me, as a fan, the Interscope era feels like a misstep in Madonna's career—despite the existence of some very good material, singles and music videos both missed the mark. Although, it was a significant financial deal for Madonna and she's the boss...

In Australia the Super Deluxe was only ever available digitally and on streaming.
Only the 19 song deluxe version was released here physically on CD and LP.

I feel like anything in the Interscope era was touch and go single wise.

Mike Dean did indeed... but keep in mind the YouTube upload is a mono? stereo? in any case reduced version of the Dolby Atmos mix, to appreciate it in full I think you need to listen to it through Apple Music with proper equipment (headphones with spatial audio option).
So the YouTube upload is not really how it sounds, I think.

The first and last song are iconic but the inclusion of LMFAO and Nikki Minaj cheapen the whole thing. They are very of their time while Madonna is timeless.
