Toni Braxton's Breathe Again was a big hit in several European countries which inspired Madonna to create Take A Bow.

 

As I said, Madonna was not scoring big hits in Europe during that time, only You'll See & Don't Cry For Me Argentina were proper hits for her at the time before she got a big resurgence with ROL.

 

I don't remember people would go to the record store to buy a Madonna single after Toni Braxton scored a hit.

I think M's artistic move at that time was not fully understood, Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey were huge but their targets and audiences so different.

LOL you haven't been to any tours if you think this one is lacking in hits.  It has more than any other, and LAP wasn't even part of the setlist.  The GP will either pay anyway or they won't.
