Favorite musical collabs?

So the Gaga topic had me thinking what are mine and right now it would look like this

01 Madonna and Bjork - Bedtime Story
02 Madonna and Prince - Love Song
03 Madonna feat. Nicki Minaj - I Don't Give A
04 Madonna and Lenny Kravitz - Justify My Love
05 Madonna feat. Nas - Veni Vidi Vici (I don't know Nas even though I do love some rap - back and forth is just great)

Honorable mentions:

Madonna and Tupac - I'd Rather Be Your Lover (Would give that album so much more credit IMO)
Madonna and Ricky Martin - Be Careful...oh sorry I was just having a cheesy 1999 flashback, so I take that back.

I have to say I'm not a fan of Madonna collaborations, none of them is memorable... Think of the Britney duet...

Probably I'd go:

01 Madonna + Joe Henry Guilty by association

02 Madonna + Justin Dance 2night

03 Madonna + Mandy Patinkin What can you lose

Oh yeah I would add Dance 2night in the honorable also. But I will say I don't care much for when any two artists collab or people who make a career out of it. I am a casual Nicki fan and she certainly has made it hers but does anyone else here like I Don't Give A? To me its sassy, the guitar has this drive and Nicki's verse just flows so smooth; I never catch anyone else liking that one.

For me there isn't anyone I would want her to work with these days, Daft Punk more than anyone  :worship:

1. Take a Bow: with Babyface

2. Sikewalk Talk: Jellybean and C. Buchanan

3. I Want You: with Massive Attack

4. Rain (live from Girlie Show): with Donna & Nikki

5. Human Nature (live from Sticky & Sweet): featuring Britney

6. Hung Up: featuring Abba sample

All work with Leonard, Pettibone and Orbit.

Justify My Love is top collab for sure!

Wendy Melvoin guitar on She's Not Me is pretty amazing too.

Diplo was originally on my list and than gave props to Shep, William and Patrick but thought no producers - Lenny and Prince have one song so making exception.

Right, but also Lenny and Prince have back vocals on the tracks so I guess it features them - I mean Love Song is technically a duet. Same way some songs you can hear William Orbit's voice (I'm A Sinner, Drowned World), or on Pharrell's Hard Candy tracks.

Sorry, I concentrated on duets only and recordings.

Otherwise I want you is really great!

And of course the live rendition of Rain!

I also liked Taylor Swift playing guitar in Ghosttown.

Take a bow is a fantastic song but it's not a proper duet, Babyface part is so small...

As for the collaborators, most of them did a great job.

Patrick Leonard wrote fantastic songs, but you can't forget Steve Bray who also is enjoying a great success for the Color Purple musical.

William Orbit and Mirwais gave Madonna a new experimental direction which we all like.
