So apparently one of the 3 threads for Causing A Commotion EP on Reddit is talking about a new edit on the new EP of the Movie House Mix? Either the edit or a new one but I doubt it

Link, please?

So it's just a rumor, nothing confirmed, right?

Not a hard deduction if it is true.  Many of these digital/streaming releases have been based on the original release date anniversaries.  Originally, CAC was released in 1987 on August 25th, but being that is a Sunday, it's not hard fetch to guess it's coming this Friday.

I hope it's true. I know the song and mixes are a fan favorite.

Uh, no. We were talking about the theory (from Reddit) of a 'new remix' or 'new edit' on CAC EP.

I'm probably in the minority but I would much rather listen to the Silver Screen edit than the Movie House edit even if it's more common.  I hope it's included :(

Me too! Anyway if this is true can someone rip it when it comes to NZ? While Movie House Edit is more of a Silver Screen Remix Edit than a edit of the House Mix I want both hopefully in some years leaked the Movie House Edit..

I remember when i was a kid, a friend of my elder sister brought me the cassette single of CAC as a gift (because i made a mixtape of french pop songs for her american friend) from the US (before my family moved there) and i was so surprised by the single version which i wasn't expecting to be different and i adored it right away contrary to the album version. Yes i still have it. 😁

Does Justify My Love (The English Mix)

and

Vogue (Sheps on the fly Dub)

count?

If they’re included in any promotion, even if it's In-House, they still count for me. However, I find it extremely unlikely that they will be part of any release—maybe in an expanded edition.

New list:

  • Everybody (Rusty Egan 12'' Version) Available only on vinyl.
  • Everybody (Rusty Egan 7'' Version) Available only on vinyl.
  • Everybody (Rusty Egan 12'' Dub) Available only on vinyl.
  • Everybody (Rusty Egan 7'' Dub) Available only on vinyl.
  • Borderline (It's That Girl Remix Edit) Available only on It's That Girl cassette.
  • Burning Up (Original Album Version) Available only on vinyl and cassette.
  • Over And Over (Dub) Available only on vinyl and cassette.
  • Open Your Heart (Remix) Available only on vinyl and on It's Thar Girl cassette.
  • Open Your Heart (Straight Pass) Available only on In-House cassette.
  • Open Your Heart (Straight Pass #2) Available only on In-House cassette.
  • Causing A Commotion (Movie House Edit) Available only on vinyl.
  • Vogue (Sheps on the fly Dub)
  • Justify My Love (The English Mix)
  • Rescue Me (Lifeboat Dub) Available only on vinyl.
  • Rescue Me (Houseboat Dub) Available only on vinyl.
  • Rescue Me (Disaster Dub) Available only on vinyl.

Thank you so much! Does anyone know if this makes the time lenghts of the Yellow CD?

The dance mixes match both the yellow cd and my German 12". The dub is 7.03.

The Silver Screen Single Edit is 4.00 on my German 7" pressing, and according to discogs, the same remix is 4.06 on the Holiday Collection cd, which explains why I always thought it sounded a bit slow compared to the 7".

A lot of Madonna fans love to buy vinyls though so the curse is their fault

It would be nice to have them all in digital but the two that should really have been available in digital form ages ago are Burning Up (since it's the original album version and the version a lot of us heard first because of the First album reissue) and Open You Heart 7inch mix. The other ones are promo mixes so i can understand why they forgot about them but those two should have been curated because they are the versions people who were there remember.

But yes we should definitely have them all in digital somewhere. The Fever and Rescue Me promo remixes...and some 7inch edits of the Ray Of Light singles (drowned world, nothing really matters). But we definitely are lucky compared to Prince or Björk, a lot of their best remixes are not available online (the Orbit remixes of The Future or the Disco Synch version of Bachelorette) Sade has no b-sides available so tracks like Spirit are still unavailable in digital. Hopefully next month we'll have Let down your guard.

Ooooh, what makes you think Let Down Your Guard is coming? I would love that on streaming.

on the topic of Björk it seems they have done a big streaming dump lately with lots of different editions of singles uploaded. They finally uploaded the version of Possibly Maybe featuring the b-side Visur Vatnsenda‐Rósu which I had been waiting for.
