I didn’t realize the audiobook was abridged. I listened to that, and didn’t think any of it was particularly shocking.
 Madonna seems like she would be a difficult person to be around, but also loving. She’s high maintenance and that level of fame is going to go to anyone’s head. I’m happy to just to accept her public persona and let whoever she is behind closed doors be there for those who get to experience it.

I do think the b'day celebrations have become a bit too ostentatious and tone deaf. Go where you can keep it private

All those lenses pointed on her are so cringe and aggressive. I know she chose that kind of life herself but - the same - poor woman, honestly. 

While I’m sure just about all fans here know of this show, I think she was just as or if not more mischievous here as the infamous f bomb Letterman interview a few years later.  
 
She kept breaking Arsenio’s balls about Paula Abdul, his hair, and then his furniture.  😂.  Too which I guess it wasn’t until years later at Arsenio owned up to being in a relationship with Paula for years back then.
 
Nonetheless while I wouldn’t say this was Madonna’s best interview it’s definitely to me one of her most entertaining ones.  Warren Beatty came up a bit here but me wonders if she acted that way toward Arsenio because he was rather nasty to Vanilla Ice around this time.  Standing up for a friend kind of thing?
 
Anyway she was on his show a few times afterwards so I’m thinking Arsenio enjoyed her as a guest.
 
 

Certainly many fond and funny memories watching that film.  In the late 90's I recall the edited version being on USA one afternoon and I exaggerated being sick to stay home and watch it.  At the time my heart was pouncing.
 
When I got my drivers license as well this was the first over R rated movie I recall watching.  Rented it from Blockbuster the unedited version..... Yowza

I don't care what anyone says that was still the sexiest performance ever on film Madonna gave.  It's an iconic scene to me when she shows in that blue night gown waiting for Frank.

Hers was good but I think unfair to say it was the best.
 
Prince, Tom Petty, Bruno Mars, and Lady Gaga all stood out as good as well.

M's one of the few people I follow a little on Instagram via the fan sites.
I think for the most part she has fun with it.  I remember in an interview Lourdes said she never smoked pot vs what some shots had of her.
Fillers or what not she still has/will always have that endless sex appeal to me.

I feel so old. Having studied computer science, I started browsing the internet in 1994. Downloading a photo could take hours... And there were forums, rudimentary ones, but they existed, like Usenet / newsgroups (alt.fan.madonna, rec.music.artists.madonna) but they were text-only. 

Back then, only people in computer science were on the internet, and there were very few Madonna fans who were into computer science like me (so discussions about Madonna were more general and social, rather than specialized in her music, promos, etc., like they are among fans today). But I remember it with a certain fondness.

I believe she's not dating any of those guys she's talking pics with. I think they're just her friends and she's like "Let's post a pic together in bed and watch 'em say you're my new boyfriend 😂" ... I believe she doesn't show who she's sleeping with in reality. The more it goes the more i understand that there's what she shows and her real private life, two separate things.

I don't believe she was really dating the boxer.  They hung out and I think he was consulting her on her tour at the time being there are boxing scenes.  There may have been a little something going on the side, but I don't believe it was anything serious.  When she got sick, it seemed he was no where to be found.  By that time, the tour was ready to go. 
Also, I am not going assume this other guy in her picture is anyone serious also.  Of course, time will tell, but it's possible that the two are just hanging out.  And let's be real here, Madonna isn't shy about getting naked in front of people. She has always flirted and messed around with numerous men in between anything too serious.  I don't think she is looking for anything too serious at this time.  I also think she keeps a lot of what she does in her private life more "private" to what many think.
