I’ve never heard this before! ‘Like a Prayer’ is a difficult one to cover as it’s so iconic, but I really like what they did with it with the harmonies and beats. Thanks for sharing it ;)

SO AGREE - I would lose my shit if I had to hunt for different versions of Express Yourself on these rando compilations on Spotify. 

Well it's just natural that her biggest hit has many versions listed. But I agree her digital collection could be better. There's something to consider and that's her different label phases: PWL until 1992, then DeConstruction from 1994 to 1998, then Parlophone in the 00s and early 10s, then RocNation and finally BMG where she's now. Add that to the fact her old releases rights have been reverted to them in time, first PWL, then Decon.... and you have a big mess of editions, releases and stuff.
In a way, it's somehow a blessing all Madonna is under Warner except for three albums in the 10s that will end up being under Warner too soon. That makes things SO much easier.

To be honest, I’ve been making playlists of all my favourite artists and most of the legacy acts don’t have their past remixes/b-sides handled any better than Madonna. In fact, she’s one of the better ones.
Michael Jackson for example does not even have his old remixes/singles uploaded at all. Kylie is missing all the singles pre 2004. Janet Jackson has some uploaded but way too many missing. I think what Madonna has done is quite fantastic as most of the best remixes are at least available now.

Great question and discussion so far. My first thought about Madonna's voice sounding at it's most mature (as a woman) was when she did Evita.

Foley was planning to shoot a scene in front of Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue, and Donald Trump apparently stipulated that he wanted a paparazzo shot with her in hopes of making the New York Post. Madonna considered for Ruthless People
“At that dinner, we were all mesmerized by her,” Jerry says. It would have been an opportunity for Madonna to go over-the-top, to kick and scream and scheme. But something didn’t click. Honestly speaking, her Super Bowl performance in 2012 was so amazing and literally close to the perfection... I ABSOLUTELY don't MIND she has never done this or that song previously. 
Gosh, it was so amazing it even made me like GMAYL for a moment... Very short moment, but still! It was like.. Imagine having BDay song from MDNA album as your the absolutely most favorite Madonna song for a moment (I know pretty unimaginable, but it happened.. For like 3 seconds to me with GMAYL after her 2012 Super Bowl show)

This page has a remix edit set to the official video which I really like because it follows the same song structure and although never been a huge favourite of mine, it makes the song sound more interesting. 
I imagine if Shep ever did a possible Q-sound mix it could've sounded a bit like this.
