Bob is an incredible performer so I wouldn't sweat it. He is one of the most successful drag race winners of all time for a reason. He along with Trixie Mattel, Katya, and Jiynx are really the only ones that have crossed over from just being famous in the gay world to be recognizable figures culturally period. Bob has his own stand up special, has successfully been touring for several years, and has been a mainstay at reputable and acclaimed comedy clubs across the world. He is part of a really inspiring TV show (not drag race, a show called We Are Here) that has won a few Emmys and also has an award nominated podcast. He is known to be hard working and innovative. I've no doubt that his part in the show will be important to the narrative and act as important connective tissue.

I think some people here need to be refreshed on what exactly a greatest hits tour is.
A greatest hits tour is not a tour that is launched in support of a brand new album and is built heavily around the themes of that new album. She did half the album in the setlist. Just because she didn't open with a song from it doesn't mean that that tour wasn't a tour for American Life.
RIT was in no way shape or form a greatest hits tour

That's a nice idea and it is always fun, She's Not Me from Sticky & Sweet Tour was a moment.
I think Madonna is clever enough to reference a look rather than wear a replica that will make her look like a tribute act of herself. Also, in this day and age people on social media would drag her comparing the old and new pics and say "sad how much she's changed¹¹¹11¹!!!" and that "she can't accept she's not like that anymore¹¹1¹!!!".

I think a lot of people would find that really cool, actually. Myself included.
She can't wear every single iconic costume through her whole career but it would be amazing to see her literally walking among her history. She did that once before at an award show with some drag queens and it was stunning.

Most of these US shows were nearly sold out before the reschedule. The reason there's so many available tickets is because people had to return their tickets because they couldn't make the new date. Every single one of those dates was nearly completely sold out right up to the day of her being rushed to the hospital.
It would behove you to know the facts on a subject before speaking on the subject.

See I just can't imagine erasing the one version of Candy Shop that was not only listenable but good from existence. If she loves it so, I'd prefer it be done the way it was done on MDNA.

I would actually say that it does  Had you attended in person, you would have witnessed a love fest. This was the tour where Madonna interacted with the audience the most. You would have witnessed the uproar from the crowd when she sang the opening line to Whos That Girl. You would have heard the screams and seen all the jumping when Deeper and Deeper was performed. On the nights when she sang Ghosttown, the audience sang along so loud it vibrated the arena. I could write a whole thesis about the beauty and simplicity of True Blue. So yes, you just had to be there to see how fun this tour was in person.

She's been live tuning her voice since 2005, but one of the huge reasons it was noticeable in the MX Tour (beyond the stylistic use of the autotune which is different than live tuning) is because of the environment.
It's much trickier to convincingly mix vocals that way in a theater because a theater is by nature meant to be complimentary to sound. You can hear the sound much better in that kind of room because it's what it's designed for. An arena or a stadium is not designed with music in mind, and it's therefore you can use the natural echo and bad acoustics of the venue to hide whatever tampering you're doing to the vocals. It's just hard to cover up vocal tinkering in a theatre, there's no poor acoustics and echo to hide behind.
This isn't specific to M either, the vast majority of artists across genres use these tools in the live setting just as much as they use back tracks. It's a given for live concerts now because by and large shows are bigger, tours are longer, and artists have realized that 1) it's hard to sustain a whole tour with no assistance and 2) audiences don't really care all that much anymore about whether every single note is completely unaltered live sound.
I'd actually say most audiences nowadays would prefer it to not just be raw sound.

She gives at least one dance centric interlude per tour but asking her to cut out video interludes in a massive arena concert completely in 2023 is genuinely one of the most unrealistic asks I've seen people make of this tour yet

I agree, the band was great. The show sounded great, I just don't like the rest of it.

I know it's a beloved show, I just can't see how and never have been able to. Erotica was an album with so much potential and the tour just kinda felt like it didn't hit any of it.
She excluded some of the best songs off of the album and in general just didn't include enough of it (it is to date one of the most underrepresented albums on it's associated tour). She wasted a lot of valuable time on things that didn't really work for me (the Cabaret section is a total wash for me with the exception of La Isla Bonita). The staging is very bland, especially on the heels of Blond Ambition. The stage feels so static and dark and sparse and it truly doesn't work in her favor.
A lot of the show just feels under thought and kind of slapdash. Why do we go from a cabaret into a military themed performance of Holiday? Why does the dominatrix section conclude with a performance that is miles and miles away from that aesthetic? Why is the mystique and majesty of Justify My Love undercut by a lazy closer like Everybody?
It's just disappointing. It has MOMENTS, but those individual moments don't work together enough to create something I could call a great show.
Agree on all but the setlist. I think the setlist is horrendous, the second worst for an album centric tour. But she sounded good, the band was great, and as much as I despise what some of the new interpretations are in relation to the show's themes and ideas they sound cool.

I cannot help it, I think it's one of the worst tours she's ever been on. Bottom three for me.
Ugly stage, bad setlist, poor costumes, disconnected thematically, her actual look at that time was truly ill advised, and the whole thing was a giant missed opportunity. Erotica deserved far, far better.
