I mean really. Imagine trying to find a negative in a win here for her.  Like the song or not, it was a very good move for her to be part of it.  The Weeknd (whether you love or hate him) is greatly influential in the music world right now. And what is amazing is this song really has come out nowhere despite it was promoted to be part of his failed limited series.  Though, the song never was in the show, nor is part of the soundtrack to it.  Yet, the song performed far better than the series it was supposed to be part of.

I like to add... I don't see anyone denying that it's a song by the Weeknd that Madonna sang on.  I'm sure the song would have done just as well if it didn't have her on it.  However, the point is, SHE IS ON IT!  She made the decision to be part of it.  Her voice is on it, so yes, it's very much her song too. I am not sure why some have to try to downplay her involvement on it just because she's only a feature.  The fact is; she is on it.  She gets credit for being on it, so being it's been quite successful, she deserves credit as well. 
And you know damn well if the song tanked, then people would make sure they point out Madonna was part of it, and most likely say it's because she's on it, it failed.  There's no win here.

Well said.  The song was definitely a slow burner and just kept climbing and climbing with no end in sight. It's too bad it didn't have more radio success because it very well could have been another top 10 if not higher for her.

It's also her first Platinum Certified Single in the US since "4 Minutes" in 2008 and her first Certified Single in the US since "Give Me All Your Luvin'"!!! 
I have also read some negative and mocking comments that come from supposed "fans", basically they say that the song was never played on the radio, that its sales are inflated and that this certification for Madonna is worthless just because it is a collaboration... Stop being so assholes and be happy about the current success that Madonna is having, collaboration or not, this is something worth celebrating!!!
This is something most of us thought would never happen again: A new hit for Madonna!!! And still certified Platinum!!! This is something to be happy about and recognize his more than 40 years of career!!!
So shut up and be happy for Madonna please!!!

After reading through the last seven pages, I’d love to add some of own memories from attending the 2 Lisbon shows. 
 
I went to Lisbon because we had it on good authority that they were filming the last two shows, in Lisbon for CBS/DVD.
I was in the pit both nights and our line to queue was at the back of the arena, next to the loading dock. Parked nearby was an HDTV Broadcast Production Trailer.

When we were brought into the pit, we entered the arena through the loading dock. We got to see all the sets and props, it was thrilling. As we walked into the pit, it was confirmed that they were filming the show on for a “CBS Special”.  

I was in the stage right pit for both nights and it was obvious they were filming - so many cameras - most notably a camera operator actually inside the pit. The first night they filmed the show from the pit opposite me, the second night they were in my pit. The large crane operated cams also switched sides on the second night.  
Then came the wait for the dvd release. I can’t personally recall the moments around the CBS deal falling through, but I do remember spending at least a year waking up every morning, logging into madonnatribe and hoping to see an announcement for the DVD. The feeling of desperation in the fan community was so palpable that, several times, there would be some sort of quasi-official “it’s still coming” tidbit from Madonna.com/icon. Meanwhile, M spent late 2004 doing another round of PR for children’s books, which left most fans feeling unengaged.
We were also very aware at the time that a separate documentary was filmed (with concert footage filmed in Paris) in addition to the “DVD”. 
Time moved forward and eventually I’m going to tell you a secret was released on MTV in October 05, just a few weeks before Confessions hit stores.
There was some cross promo with Orange or Vodafone, I don’t remember the specifics, but definitely low quality clips of Burning Up and Die Another Day from Lisbon were definitely available on someone’s website. (Can someone find evidence of this?) Eventually those two songs were leaked online in much higher quality. The day that the full recording from the first night came out in 2010, was like Christmas. 

Having gone both nights, when I see myself in different shots from the footage we have, I can identify the exact show based on the color of my shirt. 
For Example, the 2010 footage shows me wearing the gray shirt that I wore on at the first show.
 

While this shot, comes from the recently leaked Don’t Tell Me footage shows me wearing the blue shirt I wore on the second night. The die another day and burning up videos also only show me in the blue shirt. 

 
I wish I had more dirt as to the why it all happened, but I can at least provide a first hand account from when it happened. Hope this helps to answer some questions from the last 7 pages!

We often use an artist's work without their permission. We use official acapellas, we use stems (some times made with AI) and we download demos that are leked by someone. This is also unethical. I believe that if someone declares that the work is done with AI and there is no profit behind it it becomes like any other unheathery thing we've been doing for years already. Then you may like it or you may not like it but if we have to respect an artist we shouldn't do many other things.
