My favorites would have to be Madame X the mother and Madame X the cha cha instructor.

Madonna has given me ______________________. (Fill the blank with whatever comes to mind. If you think of more later, make another post and as many as you want)
    Ok, I'll go first....
Madonna has given me......hope, inspiration, strength in good times and bad, and years and years of musical and dance happiness.

How can I choose? They're both amazing and they're both very infectious dance songs.
I love them so much, but I'm going to say Hung Up, just because it was the first Madonna song I fell in love with when I was younger and it has a personal connection for me.

This sounds amazing! What a great concept. Shakespeare + Madonna = something I would definitely want to see!
Maybe this idea might catch on and we might see it again elsewhere? Hopefully!

Pace University School Of The Performing Arts Presents Adaptation Of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM Set To Madonna
Pace University's School of Performing Arts fall mainstage season will kick off on November 20 with a new Madonna-inspired adaptation of William Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream." Fourteen Madonna classics will be woven through the original spoken text of Shakespeare. The show is a collaboration between the acting and dance program at Pace.
The production, "Welcome to the Wood, A Midsummer Night's Dream" is directed by Grant Kretchik, the head of the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) Acting Program at the Pace School of Performing Arts, and choreographed by Jess Hendricks, featuring Pace's BFA's Commercial Dance dancers. The creative team is comprised entirely of Pace University students, including set designer Brett Martinez, costume designer Arin Goldsmith, lighting designer Elijah Sullivan, sound designer Julia Riley, and props master Colleen O'Brien. The production is stage managed by student Lindsay Jones and company managed by student Emily Huber.
"It is as elegant as it is erotic, as sophisticated as it is sensual, and as timeless as it is tempting" says Kretchik. He adds, "Crowds gather to "Get Into the Grove" as DJ Puck spins Madonna classics well into the night. "The Deeper and Deeper" one goes into "The Woods" it is a place where the experienced can feel "Like a Virgin" and lovers and "Material Girls" can "Open Your Heart." After a night in "The Wood" it is possible that the bourgeoisie and the rebels come together." For tickets and more information, visit schimmelcenter.org.

Being a musical theatre director and having written an original musical called JUMP based on Madonna songs, you can imagine I am very interested!
Does anyone know someone from Pace University to get a copy of the script? Or is anyone interested to see the show and record an audio? Please!

Here are some that I have found interesting over the years:
Take A Bow was written about an actor Madonna knew (fans often speculate which one).
Love Tried to Welcome Me was apparently inspired by a stripper Madonna met.
Forbidden Love was supposed to be the last single, but it was scrapped and released on Something to Remember instead.
A lot of Madonna's looks from this era were noted to be quite similar to Jean Harlow.
Madonna was extremely nervous performing Take A Bow live at the AMAs. The song was never included in any of her tours until Rebel Heart in 2016.
The Human Nature music video was inspired by the art of Eric Stanton. The Chihuahua that appears in the music video was Madonna's dog, Chiquita.
Bedtime Stories was supposed to have a tour, but Madonna decided she wanted to focus her energy into her role in the Evita film.
This special from the filming of Take A Bow gives a lot of interesting info:

This album probably has her best set of music videos imo - all flawless and completely different from each other even if it’s one of her weakest albums -again imo

She didn't fall out with Shep. She saw they were rehashing a lot of what they had done prior and she wanted to go a different direction with the album. She thanked him for being understanding of it in the album credits.

BJork wasn't happy with Madonna's take on Bedtime Story so she released her own version of it with the original title "Sweet Intuition." She said she gave the song to Madonna as a favor for a friend of hers, not Madonna.

Don't Stop was infamously pushed as a single at some point.

Talks of a tour were bound to take place but scrapped once she began campaigns and vying for the part in Evita.  She considered the "Take a Bow" video her audition for it. I remember thinking it was part of Evita at some part. Became a fan in 05 so imagine go through her 90's videos and thinking it was part of the same lot.

The right side up/downside drama with the album cover.

Forbidden Love being the final single at some point before those plans were dropped.

I've always found Madonna's mentions of astrology to be pretty cool.
I don't think there's any harm in it. If you like it, awesome. If you don't, that's great, too. Personally, I think there's some truth to it.

somethingscomingover got a reaction from dylanlioncourt in What was your first non-single song that you've heard of Madonna?
I can't entirely remember, but I think it was a song from Erotica because that's the first full album I listened to of hers. I think that it was probably Waiting. I had been a casual fan before, but the Erotica album really made me fall in love with her and made me want to listen to more of her albums fully.

I BELIEVE that the right side up cover was actually a mistake. I heard that when the album was being pressed they thought her face was supposed to be right side up but they were corrected that Madonna's face was supposed to be upside down.
The pressings which followed were upside down. I haven't seen any recent pressings, but I think it's odd that they would be printing them right side up since that's not what M intended.
