This isn't true, tbh. She said the video #soon when the song premiered, and it came one week later than the song. But never said the video would be released at the same time as the song.

While we wait for the video, some updated stats from Spotify:
- The Fireboy DML Remix has passed 500.000 streams today
- The Frozen remix is now 34,4 M
- She's now 20,5 M monthly listeners and #167 worldwide. Biggest female 80s artist on the platform, finally above Whitney, who was the first until now.

Yeah, that was in 1998, right? And she was singing them again in 2004 on RIT, it's not like she's all about the past suddenly just because of TikTok.
It's been 25 years, if she's moved on I'm sure you can do it too. 

Madonna's artistry is not "dead" for capitalizing on a popular trend like any smart business woman would do. Quite the contrary, ever since "Frozen" went viral, her streaming presence is on an upward trajectory. To put this in context, she's about to reach 20 million listeners on Spotify for the first time ever, that's an incredible 35% increase from 2021. Her daily YouTube views increased by 27%. In barely 3 months, the Sickick remix already outstreamed every track from Madame X minus "Medellín".
And thanks to this exposure, now teenagers are also discovering other classics such as "Material Girl", which is doing great on Tik Tok. How can anyone see this as a bad thing? She's even taking her sweet time to shoot a music video for us. The meltdowns are unwarranted, the original version is still available on the Ray Of Light album. Welcome to 2022!.

Finally her team understood how streaming works, and now all the fans are angry. She can't win.

Lol but ageism IS a thing. Madonna is acting and dressing no different than she did in the early 90s. She's had work done like every young girl does nowadays. She's making contemporary music just like she always has. Her photos are photoshopped and airbrushed like everyone does on social media...the only difference is is that She's in her 60s. I mean, do people expect her to be barefaced with cropped hair covered up singing ballads? 

The fact this remix was supposed to be an extra, made to just to capitalize on a viral challenge and keep us kinda busy during these months full of nothing, and you guys are overreacting and bitching as if it's a new full ass album made like this... Also everyone calling her desperate and uncreative when basically 90% of the whole fanbase has been asking for a viral song like this to happen for ages, now that it happened and she's embracing her legacy you're digging her alive. Spoiled brats -_-

I'm truly not here to bring the drama but JEEZ when she releases something new you're mentioning every popstar that's revisiting their old classics like that's what she has to do, the minute she teases that she's doing it you're acting like she's going to break into all of our houses and break our ROL cd's so where only left with the new version! 
She knows the song, she knows what makes it special, she's not going to sing about her pussy being frozen (i hope she does!) and if you took the time to listen to what Fireboy DML does you'll have a little bit of faith in this
But at the end of the day, if you don't get it, bad for you and more for us!

I think the problem is linking this new release with the original one and compare both. I think imho we should see it as a "new" release with its own video, and not link it directly with the original version of the song and more as a reinvention or a newish song itself. Otherwise it will always be compared to the masterpiece that is the original song/video and will never achieve that level of greatness. I don't know if i make sense ?

Yeah, I was talking about the new Frozen Remix ft Swae Lee that isn't out yet.

Funny thing is Crave is such a fine (acoustic / pop) song and not even the "mumble trap autotuned shit" many fans try to make it seem, and Swae isn't even really rapping in it but more singing, which makes these comments even more invalid, as he was singing in Crave and not even rapping, but people here are expecting a trap album because of his presence in the studio  LOL gotta love them! 

It has to be said...There's problematic undertones to some fans being vehemently repulsed by the idea of Madonna working with rappers. I have seen these type of comments not only on forums but on her Facebook page as well.
The Swae Lee criticism is particularly ironic because "Crave" is one of the poppiest songs from Madame X but I guess some people assume that a black collaborator = a "rap" song. The truth is that Madonna has never made a hip-hop record but she has always been heavily influenced by black artists and their sound, from Madonna and Like A Virgin to Bedtime Stories and Hard Candy.
Obviously you don't have to applaud everything she does but you would think that Madonna fans should be a little more open-minded by now, no? She used to be celebrated for her reinventions and versatility but as of lately, I have seen more and more fans that want her to remain stagnant, to the point of going back to her past (white) producers.
And while I would totally be on board with another "Hung Up" or "Like A Prayer" sized hit, the Facebook comments implying that rap music is apparently beneath her do rub me the wrong way and they could be construed as racial microagressions.
Anyway, on a brighter note, 2022 is shaping up to be a good year for Madonna fans. 40th career anniversary, new music, new biopic and the long-awaited reissues. Fingers crossed for more good things to come.
