That doesn't ring true at all. It was number 1 in Canada, Denmark, Italy, and Switzerland, number 2 in Greece, Spain and UK and Top 10 in Australia, France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands and Sweden. 
It even charted the week before it was released in the UK on import sales alone. Clearly it 'flopped' in the US due to the controversy and backlash and I don't think they've ever forgiven her. Look at the hate 'Hanoi Jane' Fonda still gets 50 years later. 

Wow @PrayerThanks for all your input.  I agree the Interscope deal was for distribution only.  It was up to Madonna and her management to promote the albums.  Originally, Live Nation was going to distribute her work, but they failed to launch a record label to distribute, so Madonna was left scrambling for a distribution label.  If I recall Interscope made a three album deal for distribution and when she wanted to make Rebel Heart a double album, they weren't having it.  I assume they wanted to get another new project out of her as I suspect the double album could have completed their deal.
Anyway, thanks a lot.  You expressed her deal better than anyone else could.  Well done!

We did come to that consensus....until we didn't. Here's what we figured out about the videos:
TIC VHS/LD video = 7" version Celebration video = NOT the Gold Disc mix, a new edit And here are the differences in the three audio version:
7" version at 0:16 the chords on the keyboards begin Gold Disc edit at 0:16 there's the "stabby" synth trumpet sound, then the chords on the keyboard begin Celebration video version at 0:16 there's the "stabby" synth trumpet sound, but the chords on the keyboard don't begin until 0:21, and it's just the last two chords, then the lyrics start There maybe other differences in the three versions, but they can be distinguished as three different versions within the first 21 seconds of each of them.

In general they're all good - except for the lack of some promo remixes on some bundles.
Only comes to mind:
- "Borderline": the 7'' Version is not the real one, but the "Celebration"/Alternate Q-Sound Mix version. Plus, the tags on Spotify are messed up (there are not tags).
- The remastering on "Everybody" and "Gambler" is a little bit too much and it distorts - but most people don't care/notice.
- The dates: most of the late 2022 and 2023 released singles have not been updated to their original dates so they show as recent when they're... not.

To be honest, having the "Lucky Star" release tomorrow is not a good indicator of us getting "Madonna 40" announced and having pre-orders set tomorrow as well. In a normal situation they wouldn't mix those two, especially if "Madonna 40" came with a pre-release track like "FEL" did with "Into The Groove (You Can Dance Remix Edit)", but we'll see.
At this very moment I think the "Lucky Star" digital single and maybe the remastered video is all we're getting tomorrow. Sad but at least it's not NOTHING. Hope to be proven wrong...
Remember we've created all this hype for tomorrow ourselves. There's literally ZERO evidence anywhere except for Guy O. change his Instagram profile picture to the debut album cover.

We will most probably end up with T'shirts, hoodies and shot glasses to celebrate the 40th anniversary

I wouldn't blame anyone, honestly. Actually, I completely understand where all the rumors and speculations are coming from. 
Warner simply cannot just announce something so significant, especially for fans, and then go dead quiet for 2 years without specifying a single thing for such a long period of time, moreover expecting fans not to be pissed off or narrating it themselves. 
If we really won't get any significant announcement on July 27th, and I mean really significant like the info about the first reissue, at least (not pre-order, just more specific info for her 40th anniversary), not another holographic sleeve, slipmat etc. Then all this cooperation of Warner and Madonna is just ridiculous and not serving her any good, sorry to say.

You are partially correct. Halloween used color timing to grade the film. Digital color grading was not available yet. Twin Peaks may have experimented with digital color grading - I'm not sure.
You are correct that color grading has been around for some time. However, the technological advancement of digital color grading, which emerged in the 1990's, was a completely new way to do post-production work and revolutionized the industry.
Old-school, non-digital methods to grade film were quite limiting compared to digital grading. In brief, non-digital options pre-early 90's could only control RGB (red, green, blue) by using photochemicals on the film itself.
With digital grading, you could now control each color in the spectrum - red, green, blue, purple, pink, orange, etc. along  with the tone and shade of each. This opened up a whole new world of possibilities. You could also grade on a computer without striking new film for each color change so the process was less costly and much faster.
Color grading has even advanced past that in more recent years with digital intermediates but that's a whole other story....

Selfishly, I'm quite disappointed in the entire North American leg being postponed. I'm off from teaching during the summer and I had my first ever Madonna VIP package secured for night 1 at Madison Square Garden on August 23rd. I was so excited to end my summer fulfilling my biggest Madonna dream besides meeting her - getting to be in the Pit! Living my VIP pit fantasy seeing the queen of pop without any stress of having work that day or the day after sounded like a paradisiac night. And it was still early enough on the tour where I felt pretty safe from any injurious mishaps occurring involving a knee or hip. 
Even when it gets rescheduled, it simply won't be the same having to worry about taking off from work. Not to mention my lingering fear that she could get injured again by that point, so late in the tour, and I could end up with a cancelled or subpar performance like I heard about the tail end of the Madame X Tour. I hope my fears turn out to be for naught.
P.S. I don't need anyone yelling at me for posting a selfish thought. I'm allowed to care about my experience. Just let me get away with this and keep scrolling if you feel like replying something negative, please.
