After I Found Love: #1’s Remixed, and Rebel Heart (Demo Assembly), it’s time to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Madonna’s career with a series of remastered EPs !

These EPs will be released chronologically and regularly (2 eras per week) to be enjoyed progressively. Yes, every single era got the same treatment. Let’s start with the First Album era. You’ll find the tracklists in the second post right below.
While these remasters were initially done and compiled by myself back in late 2020 – early 2021, new mixes (such as the Finally Enough Love ones) and quality upgrades were taken into account since then and are also present here in remastered form.

I appreciate the "works of art" sentiment - I tried to do my best with those. 
I would love to be involved in the reissues/box sets, but sadly that phone call hasn't come yet, so we just have to wait and see what Warner comes up with - and hopefully the result blows my work out of the water completely.
What keeps me warm at night is knowing William Orbit liked my Ray of Light box set. That was a very special moment for me. And the one and only Detox liked my Erotica box set too, which was definitely a pinch-me moment.

In 1992, Shame would have sounded like another nice dance-pop album filler. GTI was scrapped when Fever came.
Where Life Begins and DYDI sounded way more radical : WLB is somewhere between funk and trip hop, a genre that wasn't mainstream yet, and DYDI is between plain NYC hip hop and a comedy skit. M has a huge sense of humor, it's the prehistory of Tears of a Clown : she is never afraid of being talked about as a ridiculously over the top persona. This track is absolutely bonkers and super trashy lyrically. Madonna pushing buttons and playing with her image.
In the end, this track features only few M vocals: a very bold musical choice for a top artist signed on a major company releasing one of the most anticipated albums of the year.
We still haven't wrapped our minds around the fact that M has been artistically disturbing the peace since day one, and she didn't shy away when she was at the top of her fame, as some others would have. I guess WB execs were shitting their pants with M's decisions. She didn't play safe at all.
[EDIT] The more I think of it, the more I like what she did with DYDI. It happened at a time when US Republicans senators or members of Congress or whatever old fart would wage a war on hip hop because of its supposed bad influence on kids. This was obviously rooted on racism and what would be called later "white supremacy". M wanted to promote hip hop in its most outrageous side and push boundaries. No one can listen to DYDI seriously, the derision is absurdly obvious. Yet, conservative people would be shocked by it. She contributed to the conversation and helped hip hop when it was crossing over to the mainstream. 
In that sense, you could say that M, along with Michael and Janet Jackson, paved the way for Mariah Carey to happen and thrive. It would take a few years for Mariah to come up with a radical pop/hip hop megahit : Fantasy Remix, featuring the infamous ODB rap.
 

If it is as good as any song they did together in the last 20 years, honestly, keep it.

I've said this before, and I will say it again, you can disagree with a decision for artwork, you can say you don't like it - but do not personally attack the person who created it. 
If I witness this behavior -  I will not hesitate to be more liberal with the ban function.

All you've done today is spread negative energy. Do better.

I have zero expectations for the remastered albums. I don't like FEL (she chose her worst remixes, discs 3&4 are not even good enough for trash and the deluxe version artwork is just lame). Now this. 
There is material from the 1st album, especially the demo versions of the songs she co-wrote & co-produced with Bray

I know they aren't on here but when Madonna performed at the G.A.Y. Club in London on November 19th, 2005 to promote her Confessions On A Dance Floor, Mad-Eyes webmaster Bart and his photographer friend Marcin were there and took some photos.

Technically this was the first time Madonna used a fan picture from a fan / fansite as a single cover.
Congrats to all fans who have had their work chosen by Madonna. Not many people can say this has happened

 When did I become a fan? 
I’m 30, I’ve grown up hearing Madonna always. 
I was 5 when Frozen came out, I was mesmerised by that video as a child, I feel that was my first time seeing her. My uncle is gay and has been a big fan since Everybody, I have all of his memorabilia and records now, he taught me all about Madonna when I got a little older and at about 10 years old he lent me all her CDS to feast on.
 

Wow, first of all, congrats on this massive achievement 😍! Your work is now officially part of Madonna history. How does it feel to know that thousands of people will own a physical copy of your art? Are you allowed to share the original FEL cover?
And since I'm guessing you are a diehard fan like the rest of this forum, just out of curiosity 1. What's your favorite album / single cover from Madonna's career (besides FEL, of course!)? 2. What's your favorite song from FEL? 3. When did you become a fan?. Thank you and best of success in your future endeavors 😃.

Yeah! Since October last year we have been in contact with each other.. she even wished me a happy birthday! 

M followed me on Insta last year after seeing a piece of my work, I gifted that piece to her and the rest is history I guess haha

For the Frozen cover, Ricardo sent me the image to use and I did my scribbles on top, there were a fair few variations of the scribbles but M made the final choice when I presented the options to her! 
 
With FEL, M and I worked on a cover we really liked but Warner didn’t find it “iconic” enough. 
I took it upon myself to create another option for them, again using a photo taken by Ricardo, there was no art direction from M or her team, the FEL cover as it is today is my creation which has been used without any tweaking from their end. 
 
It is my handwriting on her brows and also on the hype sticker, you can see my Ⓑ signature in the bottom right of the sticker 😀

Thats the hill i will definitely die on. Its ugly, cheap, awful, and people shat on Hard Candy's cover and other single covers yet like this one? Sorry but that is just plain UGLY. if you like it more power to you but any and everytime i see it i will bitch. I will bitch and bitch and bitch some more. 
The sad part is there are so many talented fans who have done so many great concepts yet this Brainwash abortion is the one we're stuck with. 

What Mr. Brainwash did for Celebration album graphics was fierce and iconic. This is a literal rip-off and a cheep one too. Don't understand why they had to go with the same concept twice.

I'm sure there are a lot of Russian fans here who don't deserve to be nuked because of one deranged leader, and they probably feel awful reading this.
