Who knows. The Bush one is the original video right? The other one is the Director's Cut with the additional explicit stuff that are not on the Bush one, also more war film.

The Director's Cut of the "American Life" video is officially coming next week:

We did it, people. 20 years later.

People mislead the Director's Cut video that was leaked later as the original broadcasted video (me too until recently). I would love to know the background of this one. Wikipedia doesn't says a lot.

The Director’s Cut is the original. It was never released but leaked some years later.
The one with the Bush ending is a re-edit to try and soften the message in the video by cutting some parts and adding that ending. This was aired only once in a few countries outside of the U.S.

I recommend this recent Rolling Stone piece, it's quite a good timeline from the director (Jonas Åkerlund):

Basically as @Blue Jeanexplained, the super explicit later leaked Director's Cut was the original version but MTV demanded changes, cause it was too much. Then they started playing with different endings and less violence. In the end, the Bush version was the final one before being pulled. And then the flags version became the official one.

I am willing to bet that it will be the grenade version. Really profound to release it at this time.

Excited to see the remixes finally onto streaming, but this shitty flags version of the video is NOT the answer. We want to see the full directors cut in HD.

Can someone ask her team to correct lucky star on the immaculate collection album?

Here's an interesting tidbit that may be the reason Lucky Star (U.S. Remix Version) will remain on IC that is on streaming platforms...
While the VHS and LASERDISC both included the original version of the Lucky Star video, the DVD version of Immaculate Collection includes the LS video with the U.S. Remix (with additional footage).  I never thought about it until now, but it's probably intentional that they included the U.S. Remix on the Digital/Streaming platforms, rather a mistake.  But then, what's the reasoning behind Borderline not having the correct audio version as the physical formats did?
I also wonder if the omission of Who's That Girl, True Blue and Causing A Commotion was intentional as well as her record company knew they were going re-release "Holiday" in the UK and wanted to create a companion EP (The Holiday Collection) with those omitted tracks.  I guess the argument could be made that would only appease the UK market being The Holiday Collection was a limited release.

Is it me or i can't stand dancing to a 10 minute song remix on a phone speaker but can dance easily to a 12" with some good speakers with bass?

I think they just meant "original" as "retro remixes from back then" and maybe to avoid questions about the promo mixes etc.

and all of Kylie’s PWL singles were released as pretty exhaustive EPs on iTunes in 2009, and the EPs then added to streaming in December 2016.
I don’t think that is dramatic to say that I don’t understand why Warner are still dragging their feet so much with a huge back catalogue star like Madonna 🤷‍♂️

After I Found Love: #1’s Remixed, and Rebel Heart (Demo Assembly), it’s time to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Madonna’s career with a series of remastered EPs !

These EPs will be released chronologically and regularly (2 eras per week) to be enjoyed progressively. Yes, every single era got the same treatment. Let’s continue with the Music era. You’ll find the tracklists in the second post right below.
While these remasters were initially done and compiled by myself back in late 2020 – early 2021, new mixes (such as the Finally Enough Love ones) and quality upgrades were taken into account since then and are also present here in remastered form.

My thoughts exactly about The Power of Good-Bye. They can't fu*k it up, if they do all my hope is gone. The question remains, how long we'll wait for it.
I have wierd feeling that they care more about anything on Ray of Light but TPoGB. Call me picky but it still doesn't have HD video and is last "in queue" to be released in streaming, despite selling overall better than NRM.

    Hello all,
So I decided to make an instrumental with all the missing elements from the multitrack, I tried 2 different things :
1 : Multitrack instrumental adding the Filtered Churchapella instrumental (but it's very centered mixed)
2 : Multitrack instrumental with recreated missing elements (CowBell and congas from the Roland TR-626, shakers, triangles and samples from other versions) to add a litlle more stereo to the mix.

Why would Madonna release radio edits of Love Don’t Live Here Anymore instead of the full versions?
As an AI language model, I don't have access to Madonna's thoughts or decision-making process regarding her music releases. However, generally speaking, an artist may release a radio edit of a song instead of the full version for several reasons.
One possible reason is that radio edits are typically shorter than the full versions of a song. Radio stations have limited airtime, and they prefer to play shorter versions of songs to fit more music into their programming. Therefore, a radio edit may be more likely to get airplay and exposure than a full version.
Another reason could be that the radio edit is more commercially appealing to a wider audience. The radio edit may have been reworked to have a catchier chorus, a more accessible sound, or be more upbeat, making it more likely to be popular on the radio and in other mainstream media.
It's also possible that Madonna released a radio edit of "Love Don't Live Here Anymore" simply because she wanted to provide different versions of the song for her fans to enjoy. Artists often release multiple versions of their songs to cater to different audiences and tastes, and a radio edit may be one of those versions.
