  4. Complaining about complaining about complaining meanwhile, is not annoying in the slightest.
  5. People can be excited about things that don't excite you. There's no need to shit on those who are looking forward to it, myself included.
  6. I can't stand watching her, I'm sorry - it feels way over the top and contrived to me. I don't get reaction videos in general though. Having said that, this guy is actually really great when it comes to Madonna reactions, he started as a bit of a hater (big Lady Gaga fan) and now, having gone through all of her discography up till American Life, is a total diehard fan:
  7. But it's got nothing to do with popularity abroad. It's based solely on the Billboard charts in the US. And it's not about comparing or "making people believe" who sold more or less in previous decades, it's purely based on Billboard chart stats 2000 - 2025: Billboard’s Top Artists, Top Billboard 200 Albums and Top Hot 100 Songs of the 21st Century recaps reflect performance on weekly charts dated Jan. 1, 2000, through Dec. 28, 2024. The Top Artists category, including the Top Women Artists of the 21st Century recap, ranks the best-performing acts in that span based on activity on the Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100. (Titles released prior to mid-1999 are excluded, although such entries that appeared on the Billboard 200 or Hot 100 in that span contribute to the calculation of the Top Artists chart.) Do I think Grande, Cyrus and such are as iconic as Tina Turner or Whitney? Of course not. But they've charted more on Billboard in the past 25 years and that's what this ranking is about.
  8. "It's a sin" spans a decade: 1981 -1991.
  9. It's based on female artists charting on Billboard in the past 25 years, how is it surprising?
  10. How unhappy within yourself you must be. This is just another product we may or may not get at some point, it's not that important. Certainly not as important as another person's life, a life of a human being with friends, family, feelings.
  11. That's just guesswork - these things aren't as straightforward when it comes to artists of Madonna's calibre. We have no idea what sort of agreement she had with Shep (she thanks him for "being understanding" in the liner notes).
  12. And how do we know that?
  13. It wasn't. It's just that Vincent Paterson, who talks about it in the doc, was brought in very late after the original choreographer was fired.
  14. He interviewed many people, including Stephen Bray, Rick Nowels, Andre Betts, Niki and Donna, and Marius de Vries. He also spent two days in the Library of Congress in Washington, listening to various demo tapes submitted there for copyright registration throughout the 1980s and 90s. He's been in the music industry for a long time and worked with Madonna and her team during the Interscope years, setting up promo and interviews in Italy.
