Ehhh not really she just said it must be hard for her knowing she played evita in the past which was the elephant in the room implying she only said that because of it. Granted, she didn't pull a Billy Eichner which really put everyone in their place. Lol his response was classic "Which movies has Patti been in?"

Yeah... I mean there's a certain level of immaturity about it that she keeps reveling in her shade for Madonna. And there's also an unwavering mindset of what is.... or that there's a right and a wrong when it comes to acting. You see it here on the forum with the music industry. I, Myself have gone through different levels of what I considered legitimate music artists. I was not on board with TV Competition winners as music stars at first. I still don't watch these shows but there's no denying Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson as amazing singers. Seeing Disney Channel kids become pop stars, I was not on board at first... Boy Bands created by some guy... and even now with a lot of our pop stars who can't dance, or seem to only have a job because they're pretty relying on ghost writers and seemingly having nothing to say... all dressing the same.... sounding the same... I'm not on board... 
 
but I can't really change what is so I'm not gonna waste my breath.... But I imagine it's the same thing except it's her domain. It's what she does.

But those type of actors, singers, authors... walk around like everyone owed them something. And it's not the case. She can be super talented but if she comes across this bitter every time she opens her mouth, what's the point?
Madonna has had an acting career and has been in successful movie projects (big flops as well). "Evita" was a hit and Madonna was part of that success. That's a fact, Putone likes it or not.
First thing a professional artist does is respecting other artists.

oops... thanks for the correction because that's what I meant to write.  You're right, it doesn't matter what she thinks.  I'm not going to get butt hurt over it because I know she was provoked to answer that, even if she was gleefully to answer.  I'm not naive to believe Madonna is loved by everyone.  I respect she has her opinion and as I stated before, she isn't wrong. Madonna isn't a good actress.  Though, I do think she did a fine job in Evita.  Though, I know that was a huge role for Patti, so of course she's going to be very critical of anyone playing that same role.  If she wants to be shady about it, that's on her, but it doesn't mean she's wrong, nor does it make her any less of an actress herself.  Certainly, I'd like these ladies to get along, but it is what it is.  It's not a big deal for me.

I think actors can be passionate about acting... The craft and everything... and then they see some popstar come in and get a part because of their fame and they aren't good and yet they keep getting roles merely because they are famous. This is Madonna's acting story. She's not good. She plays a few emotions well, one is determination... and one is seduction. That's it. 
I can see how that might be infuriating, especially if they do a role you are known for. When I saw Kim Kardashian being featured on American Horror Story I decided then and there that I was done with the show. It had been falling off and kept bringing in bad actors.... and then her. And I'm not even an actor, I just don't like to waste my time watching bullshit.

But she's not wrong in what she says.  Madonna can't act.  However, I do think that she's wrong about Madonna in Evita.  Obviously, there's more to the bitterness than we know. Something behind the scenes where Madonna pissed her off.  And Patti is definitely a great actress.  I've seen her in a number of things, and she's always been far more believable as an actress than Madonna.

My mom passed away at 52 from lung cancer as well.

I always felt bad for Madonna after learning about her mother dying, but I realize now that I could in no way understand what she really felt. And even now, in my position, I actually still can't understand completely because I had so much more time with my mother than she did. Her loss must feel so much more like something missing, something she never had then something she had, cherished, took for granted at times, and then ultimately lost.
