A most uncharming fellow. In response, we spent a couple of nights in my studio, crafting a few tracks inspired by his style, just for the sake of it. As it happened, it was my daughter’s birthday, Madonna absolutely adores her, and we were surrounded by an abundance of cakes. So there we were : Madonna, myself, and a delicious sense of vengeance against Robert Miles. One of the tracks was fittingly titled "Revenge". We indulged in cake, recorded three rather splendid dance tracks, and that was that."

Unfortunately, you're most likely right here.  So it's just further proof we should just concentrate on what we enjoy and let the chips fall where they may.  At least, we know in our life time she's made a huge impact on culture and many people's lives. 
 

LOL!  Seriously though, I do think sometimes how much Madonna will be remember even 50 to 100 years from now?  We may have a good 15 or so years still with her being quite active, which will help introduce her to a couple more generations, but after that, I'm just curious how much she will be remembered after she passes... especially 50 years or so on from it. We live in a age where things are tossed aside so quickly anymore.  It's possible the 80's, might not be as impressive to people by then. Too much would have happened since then.  

I think the announcement and preorders going live for LAV40 on her birthday was the last shot here. It would have been a perfect time to market the announcement of the first landmark deluxe set. Sadly, and this is just my opinion, I don’t believe anything of merit is coming now. It’s 12 weeks until the official 40th anniversary of the album. Surely to god, preorders would be out by now. And like some have pointed out, it has been three years since the press release announcing the deal. I am starting to think the only things we will get now are the silver vinyls. 
 
It baffles me that an artist like Madonna who has so many iconic albums, music videos, live performances and tours, has never been celebrated to the degree it should have been. This anniversary of 40 years is MASSIVE. She’s a living legend. An icon. Yet we’ve had nothing! This deal could have milked the fans. Things like The Virgin Tour and Blond Ambition, which are legendary and iconic have not been reissued since their original releases. It’s a crime! I feel like we were promised so much and have received very little in the grand scheme of things. 

2024 marks TWENTY years since The Re-Invention Tour.  I know many fans loved this tour.  I know I did!  I attended three shows with my very best friend @Voguerista  We had a BLAST!!  I recall one show we were approached by the venue for better seats near the stage.  We jumped at the chance. I still remember how I felt when Madonna was performing "Don't Tell Me" and she was staring and pointing right at me.  Of course, she could have been pointing at anyone in my section, but I still felt like I locked eyes with Madonna.  What a moment to have!  So let's share our favorite moments from this tour and feel free to take the poll I provided here, sharing your favorite segment from the tour.  Feel free to share other fun tidbits of your memories from this tour. We probably are gonna get a 2024 remaster of the Celebration album done with the 2009 masters or two versions: a sped up and slowed down version of it on CD and streaming services because you can do it yourself on vinyl by messing with the player

No joking but she's saving us a lot of money with her stubbornness and refusal to milk the fans!
It's OK mom, keep the Mike Dean remasters and the demo of "Candy Shop", we're fine, thank you very much. 

Well happy anniversary guys. It’s been 3 years, but I guess the important thing is the friends we made along the way.

Absolutely not! Jimmy Jimmy isnt about empowering yourself but both Cherish and Superstar are practically drowning in sugar syrup from how sweet they both are!
 
Btw i love shoobeedoo as well 😭😭😭 i think had it been titled differently, reaction to it would be better. LAV is definitely my fav 80s Madonna album. I love every song on it!!!
