Just posting this for posterity to see how many guesses I get correct! ✅ 😆 

What a moment. What a breakthrough. Obviously not her most artistically accomplished but such a pinnacle in her career, in 80s music, in pop culture in general. 
In many ways this album & era will always be thee quintessential M, especially here in the US. The cover art itself still holds such power whenever I see it. Such brilliant iconography.
Agree w/above about how great it sounds w/primarily live instruments vs mostly synths & programming. Nile’s production is great. The four singles will always be brilliant 80s pop classics. LDLHA is better than many give it credit for. Even the filler is enjoyable enough. 
I really came back around to it over the last year or two. Listening to it still makes me feel like I’m sitting w/the cool girls at school for a period.
At this point it’s my favorite of her first 3. I get why many fans & critics have favored the rawness of the debut or the more polished, mature True Blue. For me part of what makes it work is being right in between the extremes of former which can be a little too raw at times vocally, while still having more of an edge than most of the latter.

Sometimes I just dump Ray of Light, Music, American Life and Confessions into a playlist and hit shuffle. 
Those four albums are peak Madonna (in my opinion only!) and the results always make for a pretty cohesive listening experience.

The styling for this shoot is so on point. The virginal white wedding dress contrasted with the “Boy Toy” belt buckle.  Even the dress itself, reminiscent of tradition but with the sex factor turned all the way up… it’s just screams Madonna. 

I don’t understand why people dislike and disrespect this album, it’s amazing. I don’t go back to it often, but it’s amazing

I think so, it looks a lot smaller, but still a little bigger and rounder than it was before the interventions. In the last photo shoot on Instagram, the one with the horse, her butt looked big in the transparent pink dress, maybe she asked them to enlarge it in Photoshop? I think maybe she actually transferred fat to her butt and over time her body absorbed a lot of that fat. Her body is beautiful and proportionate now.

In my professional medical opinion (as someone with zero professional medical training but has watched way too much Botched) I believe it’s fat transfer. 
They typically don’t recommend implants for the buttocks as they can be prone to flipping, I guess due to sitting and wriggling around.

Thing is, she’s right. Madonna isn’t the greatest actress. But if Madonna can’t act then Patti has no appeal and could never cross over to mainstream success for shit. She’s so damn boring and tries so hard to have a shady sound bite and it’s always Madonna. Girl it’s been nearly 3 decades. You didn’t get to play Evita in the movie. Get over it. You think America wanted to see a mug like yours blown up?! Get real! You’d think she’d take it graciously but she hasn’t let it go and always has to trash M in the media. Always. She tries to be so cunty but the fact is that she’s ugly af, can’t sing without that over the top musical theatre shit (could never stand musical theatre), and she doesn’t have mass appeal. She’s a cunt without the warmth. 

When I saw the Stonewall appearance, I assumed it was just some padding, but once I saw it in fishnets at the ‘21 VMAs I was alarmed!

It seems to look okay when there’s fabric draped over it but in anything skintight the proportions are off. Like the Versace bodysuit on the Celebration tour. Looks great from the front, but from the side… 👀

Yeah I was always under the impression that RSD releases were physical only (as the whole point of RSD is to drive consumers into record stores -hence no online pre ordering etc). I only noticed that Garbage upload their to streaming because I listen to a lot of Garbage. There might be other artists that do this as well, I’m just not familiar with them. 
I had a quick Google and I can find rules for retailers who participate as RSD stockists, but I can’t find any rules for artists. 
Are there any industry insiders 😉 here that can shed light on that?
Either way, Nap Time will definitely be physical-only based on Madonna’s previous releases.
