Never thought the "red string on her arm" was really a "signature" to her look, but preferably wearing it for personal reasons.  After all, the Crucifixes, and other jewelry really never went away.  Sure, the 80's early look was big on those accessories, but she's always worn the crucifixes much of her career. To me that is more "signature" to her than anything.
